I paid £306-62 early this morning. It has now gone to £358 which still isn’t too bad. You get there 20.05pm on Thursday. Back in Manchester 12.15pm on the Monday.

That's pretty good, Builthy. Have a nice trip!
I'm looking forward to payback time in Armenia, to avenge what they did to us in Cardiff in June. I predict a Wales victory in Yerevan by a one goal margin.
... But there are a few games to go before then!

Mobile phones in Armenia. What’s best to do to keep the cost down? Have a look at this website. Search for Sim. armeniatraveltips.com/

Nine of us heading to Armenia, only one I was able to get out to this year. Some of the group have zero aways. Realistically, will we sell this one out? I hope the FAW ensure that all fans have to pick tickets up over there to avoid ticket hoarding.

They're right in this now and will be right up for it. I thought they'd be out of contention by now. Should be a fantastic trip, cant wait.

I can’t imagine we take more than that out, it’s a pain to get to. On a side note, I’m also an Epping (Forest) based fan, I live in Chigwell!

I live in Abridge. 800 was about enough for Azerbaijan in 2019 and I feel this is a similar situation. We'll need to win the last 2 games to progress. Lets hope we all get tickets. What's your route. Me and my son are out Thursday from Stansted via Milan. Back Sunday via Rome. It was really cheap.

Ah small world, just a few miles down the road. I have always said there seems to be a welsh person in every settlement in the UK so we have this little area covered.
Going Thursday via Brussels and returning Monday via Vienna, in and out of Heathrow which isn't ideal living over here but is a lot easier now the Elizabeth Line has opened.

Cheers for this! Did find an option via Larnaca, but this probably works out better with it being from Bristol. Think I'm going to wait and see if I get a ticket first. Got three aways, so I'm hopeful, but rather be sure.

Another option is Pegasus from Stansted via Istanbul. Out Thursday, back Tuesday morning is currently £276, but one useful feature is that you can pay £14 extra to make the flights fully flexible/cancellable. Useful if you aren't sure if you 'll get match tickets, or if a war with Azerbaijan might break out...

Useful if you aren't sure if you 'll get match tickets, or if a war with Azerbaijan might break out... Just be aware that the leg between IST and Yerevan is not covered by EU261 regs, and that Pegasus routinely mess around with these flights, even an hour or two before departure - UP TO EIGHT HOURS delays have no financial consequences for them! I got stung this Summer with a last minute 7.5hr delayed departure...

First ever Wonky Sheep trip for me. It just seemed too much faff and throwing in an extra night (or even one each way) on the beer in another city, the cost difference wouldn't have been too much in the end.

With the news coming out from Armenia today, I'm guessing it's possible this match might get moved?

Latest news is a ceasefire has been agreed after initial hostilities yesterday.
Always possible it could flare up again in the next two months though

Obviously things can change very fast but it’s all centred around Nagorno-Karabakh which is landlocked in Azerbaijan isn’t it.
I see there’s been some demonstrations in Yerevan but there’s a fair distance between the two places. It’s been an ongoing thing for years so I’m not sure how affected Yerevan will be, enough to move the game anyway.
Though the way this trip was going nothing would really surprise me.

Where would it be moved to, anyway? Greece?

This has been rumbling on for years so I would be surprised if things escalate to the point whereby Yerevan is effected. There always seems to be some drama in the background prior to a Wales away trip with our host country, I was on the trip to Denmark when they were threatening to go on strike.

I still think we would have qualified for Euro 2004 if the Serbian president hadn't been assassinated and our qualifier moved to an August date when we were struggling for fitness...

Would flights be refunded if this escalates? Yes - if cancelled by the airline. If not cancelled but FCO advises against travel to the country you might be able to claim against your travel insurance if your policy allows

Rule no.1 - Always book travel insurance as soon as you book your flight. Most of the group I travel with have an annual policy which they will use for their summer holidays as well.
