99% certain it's the playoffs now.
If I've understood things correctly we should (assuming Italy don't lose to Ukraine) get a home tie against either Ukraine, Finland or Iceland (I think there's a draw to determine who). Apart from Ukraine, we should be favourites, whoever is in charge. Then probably away to Poland in the final, where we would be very much second favourites. But they've done really poorly in qualifying, so who knows.

According to we global we are at least guaranteed a playoff place.

We need Czechia and Italy to not lose their remaining qualifier to have a home draw against Ukraine, Iceland or Finland.

Knowing our luck we'd get Ukraine and they'd smash us as revenge
We should be able to beat Iceland or Finland at home... I think

No way we will beat Poland away when we can't even get the better of Armenia, especially under this coaching ticket.
We are gonna miss Germany - today was our big second chance and we blew it without even firing a shot

and we can no longer say with conviction we are necessarily better than Iceland or Finland can we? The truth be told we are a bit of a mess right now.

So my possibly flawed conclusion is that play off wise.
1. We get a home semi v Iceland, Ukraine or Finland unless Moldova win in Czechia and Italy lose ?
2. Poland are likely to be home to Estonia in the other semi. Who else could Poland face?
Or has any of the above now been overtaken by results/ not correct in the first place?

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's correct.

Iceland seem to be having similar issues to us; good side around 2016 but struggling at the moment. They'd be my pick of the teams we could face.
If we get Ukraine I'd bet my house on us losing.

Ukraine should have beaten us last time and we are now substantially worse and no longer have Bale
Only one outcome.
Think we are running out of luck now aren't we!

So if things go as expected, we ger Finland, Iceland or Ukraine at home with lots drawn to decide which one?
If successful, we could get a home game v Poland?
So we have 67% chance of it not being Ukraine and then a 50% chance of being at home for the final.
If we bring our Croatia display to the playoffs, I wouldn't write us off just yet.
Have you seen Poland's competitive results since the World Cup? They're at home to Latvia in a friendly this week.

I do think the Croatia game had less pressure on it than the Armenia one, it was almost accepted the group was done with and it allowed us a bit more freedom. If we show up as we have Vs Turkey, Armenia or Latvia we will lose to any of the teams mentioned.

Not sure how the home/aways work but if Italy come into the equation I think our chance of qualifying drops immensely, regardless of whether we get home games or not

We really want Italy and Czechia to qualify automatically

Just had a reply from We Global. Ukraine and Moldova go through at the expense of Italy and Czechs then we got Italy away first game. Ffs 🤦🏻♂️

We need Italy & Czechia to avoid defeat tomorrow.
And if Croatia automatically qualify, then lets avoid Ukraine in the play-off draw and hope the winner of our semi gets to host the pathway final. If that happens, we have a decent chance of getting through.

The easiest play-off draw we could have hoped for would have been Armenia away, followed by Turkyie at home.

Currently more nervous about 2 games tonight than our game tomorrow.
Ukraine v Italy (in Germany) Czechia v Moldova
Both KO at 7.45
So permutations are I think as follow
Italy lose, Czechia don't lose.
We'd be away to Poland
Italy and Czechia both lose.
We'd be away to Italy
Czechia lose, Italy don't lose
We're away to Czechia.
Both don't lose
Home to Iceland, Ukraine or Finland
Is that it?

If either or both lose you are spot on. if both qualify though, we can’t play the Estonians as they will face the highest ranked League A side, which will not be us as Poland have a higher ranking than us. We would face Ukraine, Finland or Iceland. It’s a random draw which one gets bumped up to League A.
