Isn't that usually the case though when the big sides face each other in major tournaments? They just cancel each other out and the game becomes cagey.

The groups with the best third place teams don't necessarily lead to the groups where the third place teams progress, but I think groups D and E are (this far) examples of the former at least.

If they do progress, then there are only three examples in fifteen where third place team in Group A (Scotland's group) doesn't also qualify.

Some hope for any lurking Scottish fans. We wait and see wrth gwrs.

Honestly guys, how do you think Cymru would have done at these Euros? I think it would have been a horror show. Looking at Poland and even Croatia look poor. I would have loved to have gone to Germany but I reckon we would have been on the end of a few drubbings. After Qatar I’m not sure just being there cuts it anymore.

I believe that even pre-Play-Offs most of us thought we would lose all three games in that horror group & nothing I’ve seen so far has changed my opinion.
In fact there aren’t many teams in this tournament that we could beat if we are brutally honest, Scotland maybe, in the same fashion we beat N.Ireland in 2016, but precious few others we would get much against.

This is getting ridiculously stupid now. Every other post on this Euro 24 thread is about the context of past Wales results!

Turkey v Portugal tonight, nor any other game in this tournament, has nothing to do with our past results. They do not reflect on our past games in any way. These games have nothing to with us.

Every football match stands alone. We can lose to Turkey and beat Croatia. Croatia can lose to us and beat Portugal. Portugal can lose to Croatia and beat Turkey. Turkey can lose to Portugal and beat us. We can lose to Turkey and beat Croatia etc etc and so the cycle starts again.

The above are all recent results.

Just enjoy the tournament. The results don’t say anything about Wales.

The Belgium Romania game was great. Belgium seemed to ramped it up since the first game, probably needed a kick up the ar*e. In saying that, a lot of poor decision making in the final third. Doku in particular has to have the worst footballing brain I've seen from a top international player. Just shows off on the ball, rarely makes a good pass, and has very little end product. Must be frustrating to play alongside someone like that.
