What a half. Exactly what Bellamy would have wanted bar a goal or two. Rapid on the break with those front 3 and relentless off the ball. A goal and that would have been a plan executed to perfection

I have to be honest, this some of the best actual football Iâve seen us play since the team under Speed. So much movement, intricate passing, confidence on the ball. Note how much happier the players look as well, havenât seen Ramsey smiling so much on a football pitch for a while. yes indeed under Page.....  |

Very impressive and intelligent first half.
The control in tight spaces is remarkable, and the playersâ awareness of others around them is something very new to us. Those two things combined has given us control of the game. The short passes to tightly marked players, and their first touch and awareness in receiving it is giving us almost total control of space on the field. Weâre creating a congested area and drawing Turkey in, then quickly working the ball out.
Okay, Wardâs footwork is being exposed as a weak link in a system like this - his approach seems way off and he doest give himself a secondary outlet/plan B. That short ball he often plays to a tightly marked CB/DM is an obvious instruction - very Guardiola! I love it, but Iâd rather it wasnât Ward doing it!
Also, is this sustainable for 90 minutes?!
Nonetheless, even if we lose the 2nd half 5-0, that was still a very exciting first half performance. Weâve missed sitters but I donât really care!
If this is Bellamyâs approach, the keeper will be essential so I wouldnât be surprised if he has to be ruthless and try Darlow on monday.

I'm really impressed with how we're playing, we have shape, we have guile, the players look confident and in control, Roberts looks like the Roberts we fell in love with, Ampadu and Sorba look stunning This  shows that Page was holding him back the style is showing already the influence of Crofts what an inspired appointment that could be and Sorba was apparently not worth a place in what felt like a 30 man squad! You could see us getting a sucker punch as pros like Rodon can't hit a barn door from 1cm but this start shows how Page was way out of his depth - think of all the watching paint dry football we played under him |

We look like a different team! Not one for stats but I donât think Iâve ever seen a wales team look so dominant in a competitive match. Hopefully can keep up the tempo.

But tonight we're against a team that made the Euros quarter finals playing good football. We've made them look very ordinary. We should be at least two goals to the good. As good as we were against ROI that first half was different level. |

Some of the stuff at the back is suicidal, we need to stop that. I'm interested to see what subs Bellamy brings on and of he changes the formation, Kieffer and Koumas for Wilson and Ramsey is what I'd go for.
