I think we will go with a back 4 under Bellamy so the issue there is I cant see both Roberts and Neco playing so Ben Davies gets to play at LB is my guess and I would love to see Neco on the right bombing on, also Ben Davies would be a bonus to have behind Koumas allowing him to be attacking knowing he has Mr reliable behind him I was hoping for a 4-3-3 but Due to the squad picked I cant see that, so guessing its a 4-2-3-1 this may change after the weekend[hopefully no injuries] lets see how many players we can pick and in the right position and the system So just guessing at formation/ team[not the starting Xl I want but what I think it may be]

Ward
Neco Rodon Davies Beck
JJ Amps
Brennan Wilson Matondo
Koumas
Experimental - but that’s what the NL helps facilitate. Maybe too open at the back, but fast and energetic.
Let’s see who’s called up for DJ. If Colwill, I’d be tempted to swap for Rabbi, moving Brennan to LW and Wilson to RW.

dragon64 I'd go same lineup, but I do wonder if Cooper may start instead of JJ and we play with two 10s. Or maybe Ampadu starts instead of Mepham and JJ plays as the deeper midfielder

Your back 4 is an interesting one and replicates what Mourinho did in some games at spurs with an asymmetrical formation - Davies tucking in to form a back three often with the right back playing almost as a wingback. Would suit both Davies and Neco, however I don't think it fits how Bellamy wants to play, which is more about creating overloads in midfield. Connor Roberts can play that role really well, as he did throughout Burnley's Championship winning season a couple of years ago. I haven't seen Neco being asked to do it much, but think it would suit him perfectly. I think Davies is probably good enough tactically to do it too. The back 4 is a difficult call to make because although Davies played as a cb in a back 4 to a really high standard for a long spell at the beginning of last season, he hasn't played much at all since. So it would be a tough ask for him to partner Rodon against the Turks with Neco and Connor having the freedom to move into midfield.

Wonder if Mepham may sit this one out as a starter? Not been involved with Bournemouth so far this season I don't think and looks likely to join Sunderland on loan. (Good move incidentally). Also, if there's a new system and new expectations, idea of a Mepham/Rodon pairing does worry me a bit!

Also, if there's a new system and new expectations, idea of a Mepham/Rodon pairing does worry me a bit! I think he'll only miss out if we start Davies at centre back, which carries its own risks. Can't see Ampadu dropping back as Bellamy's already said that Ramsey will only be played as a 10, so there isn't anyone else to go in midfield for him.

Does bring risks but the likely change from a 3 to a 4 already brings risks and I think on balance, Davies' football intelligence and game management would make it worthwhile. Also organises those around him.

I could see Ward starting and Ben as a CB and I would love to see prime Swansea form Roberts at RB bombing on with Neco on the other doing the same but I dont think we can do that with a back four against Turkey looking forward to the game more than I have for years

Or maybe Ampadu starts instead of Mepham and JJ plays as the deeper midfielder Bellamy has said he sees Ampadu as a DM so cant see him playing at CB unless there is an emergency I would like to see Ben Davies IMO our best Defender play CB but my team is a guess at what Bellamy will do and can see him not picking 2 flying FBs but using Ben there who would be solid and allow koumas to kick on I would like to see 3 in CM and wouldnt start Ramsey, but bring him on with a remit to just stay at 10 to unlock a tired defence but think Bellamy will start him so it will be a 4-2-3-1 IMO

Anyone know is the Turkish defender Demiral, who got a 2-match ban in the Euros, is actually banned for our game?

He then commented he could play anywhere on the pitch (but probably not up front)

Cullen almost certainly out for the double header. Wonder if Will Evans or Mullin get a call up?

Think Mullin only getting back into full fitness himself.
Isaak Davies and Tom Bradshaw injured.
Either Will Evans or Joe Taylor maybe?

Will Evans has minutes under his belt. He would certainly fit with Bellamy's high press ambitions.

Will Evans has minutes under his belt. He would certainly fit with Bellamy's high press ambitions. yes would like to see him be given his chance really like him he would work hard and would be great to see if he can step up to that level,IMO he would be even better with better quality players around him, so I would give him a go but wonder if Bellamy might have a re think and bring in savage as CM looks short

I think it will be something like this on paper: Neco-Rodon-Mepham-Davies Ramsey-Ampadu Brennan-Wilson-Koumas Harris But then in possession it will be more like: Rodon-Mepham-Davies Neco-Ampadu Brennan-Wilson-Ramsey-Koumas Harris This is why Bellamy says things like Ramsey can play "across the 10s" because those 4 will probably be moving about to find space. And I believe he also said "I might play two 10s or three 10s" it's for this reason. So behind those midfielders we have JJ and Sheehan - so I can see why he thinks this will be enough so I doubt Savage comes in

I like Low his performances at the lower age group have been strong He is physical, he seems to read the game well and his positioning and passing are good IMO he is going to be a better option than Mepham and Cabango, was hoping one of the Welsh clubs would have signed him this summer
