Thanks. Sounds like Cullen won’t be available for selection but will be meeting up.

The Turkey squad looks very strong, while ours looks pretty lightweight in comparison. I think it would be wise not to expect much of a result from Friday night. Focus should be on attitude and how we play.

Does anyone have any suggestions for parking near the CC Stadium on match day, traveling down from the North on the day, expecting to arrive about 3.00 pm, driving back after the match. The online line parking websites have driveway parking available wonder if any where else near ground will be available cash on the day.

I know he's an exciting prospect but I think the inclusion of Charlie Crew at this point is a mistake. He really struggled to make an impression against Gibraltar and so, in my mind, hasn't earned his place in the squad. Hedges is the obvious choice instead of Matondo.
I guess Bellamy is thinking long term here, which is OK, but it wouldn't be my preference.

He'd have been better off with the U21s. Don't think he's ready yet to be honest and some minutes for the U21s would be more beneficial than warming the bench for us.

That was clearly a low ebb under Page and I think Bellamy will get more out of the player tbh. Wouldn't write anyone off until we've seem them under Bellamy

I'm not writing anyone off. It's just that he was particularly poor against Gibraltar and isn't playing currently either. Perhaps Bellamy just wants to have a look at him without any expectation he will play. If so, that's fine.
It's a tricky balance to strike between the hear and now and building for the future. I can't say I have a definitive answer to where the balance should lie.

He was on for like 10 minutes in a game where everyone had basically given up and stopped showing for the ball, "particularly poor" is quite harsh imo and I wouldn't base my opinions on our players off that farce I'm a little surprised he's been called up but it may suggest one of our midfielders is carrying a knock

Might be the most expendable from the U21's, as we should have Savage and Eli King starting I imagine for the U21's anyway even if Crew was involved. Still be beneficial for him although my attitude is we should always pick the two strongest and optimal squads going where possible.

And yes. He was only on after 78'. Thank God, I was out in Cyprus, and never saw the game live or recorded...

Fair point - although in those 10 minutes he made a number of poor actions which surprised me considering how much he'd been hyped. The thing is he's not playing for Leeds so he's not earned his selection. However, as I've said, this may be all about Bellamy getting a chance to work with him directly to gauge how far he is away from becoming a regular squad player. With the games being Nations league ones he has a bit more leeway with his selections.

I think they need a body to fill out training/the squad but feel King & Savage will get the mins in their match ahead of Crew, so either Crew sits on the bench for the U21s or the seniors, or King/Savage lose out on mins for the U21s to sit on the bench for the seniors

The U21 game v Iceland is not until Tuesday - so plenty of time for a re-call for Crew / Colwill if all goes to plan on Friday ;-) Truth be told, I'm much more confident about the Friday game than the one in Niksic ;-(
My prediction: Friday Wales 4 Turkey 2 Monday .... probably a misrable 0-0

A very bold prediction. With the players out we'll do well to scrape a draw against Turkey.

Wales U21s are not reporting into their camp until Thursday this week Local media have reported a call up already for Joel Colwill (into the U21 squad)

I really don't know what to expect. We've seen club football managers take time to get their ideas across and for those ideas to become natural patterns of play, but international football managers has less time to work with and us as a smaller nation are hit worse by any injuries/lack of form.
I guess I want to see a little bit of what Page was trying to do (finding an attacking plan in which big Kieffer isn't Plan A and B) and a little bit of what Giggs was trying to do (trying to find a midfield which can control flow of the game) without losing what has made us us: Coleman's resilience and Speed's belief.
I think Craig is someone who can get us there.
It might not happen in this game - Turkey were so good at Euros and are ahead of us in knowing how they want to play - but obviously we want to see a hint of where we're going in this new chapter.

Been told that daily schedule is looking very much different to what it was under the last Wales management (Training and days prior to Matchday)
Bellamy has eluded to a small bit of it prior to camp (Group etc)
Told that the training session today was this afternoon (usually it’s been in the morning)
hopefully will get a further insight into things during the week
