I really don't know what to expect. We've seen club football managers take time to get their ideas across and for those ideas to become natural patterns of play, but international football managers has less time to work with and us as a smaller nation are hit worse by any injuries/lack of form. I guess I want to see a little bit of what Page was trying to do (finding an attacking plan in which big Kieffer isn't Plan A and B) and a little bit of what Giggs was trying to do (trying to find a midfield which can control flow of the game) without losing what has made us us: Coleman's resilience and Speed's belief. I think Craig is someone who can get us there. It might not happen in this game - Turkey were so good at Euros and are ahead of us in knowing how they want to play - but obviously we want to see a hint of where we're going in this new chapter. agree Turkey are a better side and were impressive in Euros and should win this group However seen similar very good Turkish sides over the years look potential World beaters one game.... kak the next I am hoping the kak version is what we get it might also be a campaign where they try some new players/systems with hopefully a new style[well we didnt have one before did we] we can do well I am sure the boys will be fired up and some relishing the chance to play attacking football, that is what I am really looking forward to Think we can win this and start moving forwards under new leadership

Arriving at 3pm you'll be able to nab one of the prime spots on Hadfield Road or Leckwith Hill easily I am assuming by the OP's user name he may be Turkish so may not know Cardiff very well, Cathedral Road is easy to find. OP is 100% Welsh 🤣 on my prevoius visits we have stayed over but need to head straight back as daughters have work next day

For info Hellas is the name for Greece.

Why are we talking about Turkey as if they are France or Brazil
They are a decent Turkey side but are not someone we should fear. We should have beaten them in the qualifiers in Cardiff but were robbed by that awful decision and I hope that Bellamy will react to situations far better than Page - if you remember, Turkey started getting into the game, we withdrew and withdrew and withdrew - no reaction from Page until they scored. I think 95% of managers would have done something before the inevitable happened and hopefully Bellamy is within the belly of that normal distribution curve!

Agree, I was disappointed that Morrell got sent off in the away game for a ball that was there to win and I think we would have at least come away with a point with 11 men on the pitch.

OP is 100% Welsh 🤣 on my prevoius visits we have stayed over but need to head straight back as daughters have work next day Cathedral Road might be easy to find (although with Google maps any major road is easy to find) but it must be about a half hour walk to get back there after the match? I guess it makes sense if you want to go into the city centre before/after the game. If a quick getaway is required then Leckwith Hill or Hadfield Road are ideal as you're straight onto the link road up to the M4. Having said that, make sure you park at either end of Hadfield Road rather than halfway along or you're likely to be queuing for a while.

Depends where you're heading as it's a long street but it's possible to get to most of Cathedral Rd in 20 mins from the ground and then it's super easy to get out of the city.

Was very heartened by Connor Roberts' interview on BBC news earlier. Looked really happy and was effusive in his praise of Bellamy. A relief as suggests. there won't be a Cardiff Swansea split as done people have suggested

Looks like mr “ little old wales “ has had to change his tune 🤷 Maybe cause the new manager doesn’t have the mentality.

Yes he’s a Cardiff man but ultimately he’s the manager of the whole of Wales.

Some were suggesting he might and as he can be a bristly/divisive character I was pleased and relieved to see Roberts thought very highly of him.

To be honest, I find even the suggestion of it to be ludicrous. Why would a brand new manager decide to handicap himself by alienating a huge chunk of his playing options just because of the area they are from ? Not to mention the fact that it would reduce a large proportion of the fan base. Simply a ridiculous suggestion

Simply a ridiculous suggestion I think it speaks volumes for the general intelligence of some of the Cardiff and Swansea football Twitterati to be honest! The fact this suggestion got any traction at all is testament to the number of knuckledraggers around who make the derby their entire personality and can't comprehend the thought of someone putting country before club.

courtesy of dragonsoccerI don't want to sound negative, especially as I am fully confident that we got this, but UEFA are giving us a 32 year-old ref from Norway - Rohit Saggi - I have socks older than that!

Can’t be any worse than the Latvian referee we had for a League A relegation decider or the ref v Türkiye last November. Two absolutely dreadful officials.

Would it not of been possible for the injured players obviously not in this squad to still be able to attend the meetings and watch the training schedules to get a grasp on how Craig Bellamy wants to play moving forward? - these players (Brooks, James, Mepham, Burns, Matondo, Broadhead) etc will now have to wait until October to study and learn how the management/coaching teams want Wales to set up etc - I know some players need rehab, treatment etc but surely they would have been able to work around this issue by being able to attend one or two of the meetings/ watch training - just think it would have been beneficial for the squad as a whole?

Good chance they’ve done that no? Mepham’s still part of the squad, just injured for the first game. Only reason I can think why Bellamy may not have done that is because he wanted to keep the group small, presumably because he thinks that’s the best way of getting the info across?

Just noticed itv are showing Scotland’s and Northern Ireland’s Nations League games and it seems Premier Sports (who have taken over uk Viaplay) aren’t showing any Nations League games at all.
So assuming it’s only on S4C for us?
There’s seems that there is no BBC Wales Match of the Day highlights after the game either.

MOTD Wales has disappeared from my watchlist in iplayer a few weeks ago I have searched for it and its no longer an option, I hope this changes or it means the BBC are not covering even the highlights thats poor

Thanks for travel/parking advice, looking forward to match, not looking forward to journey back after the match - name Hellas is randomly derived from Hellas Verona, I was reading the (excellent) Tim Parks book A Season with Verona around the time I first registered on social media/football forums

We should be very grateful to Gwynfor and his hunger strike for enabling S4c! Edit. It says the game is also on iPlayer.
