We are gonna lose to Iceland after being 2-0 up. Dreadful - so many players look out of energy and a couple look just very poor

its been coming, we complained about Page rightly so not managing game, Bellamy needs to make changes
he may need to go 3 at back or freshen up CM+ attack but he has to change this NOW
its great we have a Plan now but if it isn't working or the personnel dont fit the system change it up

Early days but apart from dominance at home against Turkey is this really much better than the Page era?
Montenegro and Iceland have created quite a lot of chances considering we were supposed to be aiming to have a lot more control of the game than we were used to under Page. Ward has made a very good couple of saves tonight otherwise it could (maybe should) be 2-2.
I worry that Bellamy may fall into the trap a lot of aspiring managers fall into where their naive idealism crashes up against the wall of cold hard reality (ie the limited ability of the players they have to work with).
Edit: ffs just saw earlier posts about 2-2 and there it is. Page must be laughing his tits off on a tropical island somewhere. Not so easy is it, this international football lark 😒

I am giving a lot of credit to Iceland here too we have been arse this half but boy Iceland have come out with fight in their bellies...did we think the game was won??
but a learning experience this is still only game 3 but Bellamy hasnt managed the game well this half but it is still early days

It's not yet three games into this new era (and one those was like playing football in a full bath), but it's massively gutting to concede two as we have done.
Just lazy defending for the first, after incredible Ward save, and two experienced players making childish error for the second.
But you know, there's a reason we brought in new manager pre-Nations League and not pre- full qualifiers.

Fascinating game.
First half was superb. Positioning, first touch and decision making all fantastic, and we totally dominated. 2nd half Iceland has found a way of destroying our gameplan, and we've been slow to adapt.
So very close to getting 9 points from 9 in these opening 3 games, now we'll be lucky to get 5!
