These charges come and go all the time. Footballers are just easy targets for women trying to take advantage, that said, he could well be guilty, and what I just saud was very insesitive to the girl. But I don't think we should "boo him" as has been suggested without him getting a fair trial.

Surely Ched shall be recalled in to the set up against Switzerland, Bulgaria? Gives us another much needed alternative, lets hope he maintains how he's currently playing!

Well from Ched, Church & Vokes has back up to Morison & Earnie I would ALWAYS go for Sam Vokes, infact I would START with big Sam against the Swiss. Holds the ball well up front. |

Morison second choice.
Earnshaw on the bench as an impact player.
Ched Evans is a squad player at the moment, and probably shouldn't be picked whilst he has this court case hanging over him.

Just been having a look at what Sheff Utd fans have been saying about Ched- virtually to a man they've been saying he looks hungrier and more confident than he's ever looked before. I know he's at a low level now, but that seems encouraging. I've always felt there was a really good player in there but a lack of intelligence and application has held him back perhaps? I reckon Ched has twice the ability of Steve Morison, and yet Morison is a prem striker and Ched is now in the 3rd division! The difference is obviously attitude.

I started to post this in the Craig Davies thread but thought it probably warranted its own thread.
Isn't Ched Evans on overly high wages at Sheff Utd? Any rumours on a January move? Will anyone touch him after all the troubles he had in his personal life? He's playing well - perhaps he's better off staying where he is in this instance.
Could be an interesting transfer window for some of our lads.

Under UK law even footballers are innocent until proven guilty. Seriously though, if Marlon King can get a job then Chedwyn will. Although the trial may put some teams off, not because of the negative PR but because he might miss training and/or game.

I don't think anything will happen until his legal situation is resolved - his trial is in March, so unless it's sorted out before then, there will be no move in January. On the basis of him being found innocent, he'll move in the summer.

Impressed with Ched's interview here: news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/16037310.stmHe sounds more mature these days. I know its only league 1, but its great to see him bang in the goals on a regular basis. Hopefully it'll do his confidence the world of good (and he'll be found innocent) and he can kick on in his career. I still see him as a premier league/international goalscorer in waiting. |

Agreed. Earnshaw was being raved about when he was banging them in for Cardiff at that level... at roughly the same age too. |
