If he flies up for games beforehand how will he know what the game plan is? Surely part of training during the week is to prepare for that weekends game?
Definitely a strange one!

Bellamy to Celtic is looking more likely.
I suppose it would be a reasonable move, I had hoped he might get a move to somewhere like Spurs where Redknapp has been interested in the past. But pairing up with Ledley would be good.
Celtic will hopefully do better in Europe this year.

I think the Celtic thing is paper/agent talk. I believe that Bellamy will make exactly the move that he wants.

Bellamy will be part of the Cardiff Project.

Needs to go back to the Prem in my view. Can't see Cardiff going up next year.
Spurs would be ideal.

Spuds would be pointless - there is no Project there, plus he has stated he will not play for any EPL side other than City.

Wouldn't blame him for hanging around Man city and picking up his wages. He'll earn £5mill to see out his contract. most people would do the same. No one is gonna offer him a long term deal so he might as well sit tight although it's shame Mancini doesn't rate him as he could still do a job for the first team

Yeah, that's true, and what you said mrmostyn is true, but when he arrived with City in 2009, he signed a four and a half year deal, tbh I can not see him playing in City's reserves until he's what thirty four, thirty five years of age, could have retired by then, he needs regular football cos unless there's a drastic change of mind, he'll never play for them again while Mancini is manager to be honest. Despite me being a Swans supporter, I hope a deal is sorted, he returns to Cardiff as he looked a lot happier in a while whilst playing for them being back with his family etc and looked like he had a sense of belonging!

I believe he is in the last year of his contract - and from what I can gather, I think he wants it to be paid up and then released on a free. That's what's causing the delay.

I cant see City selling him to a "rival". Spurs might not be challenging for a CL spot but they are capable of taking points off any team.

I was just thinking that what Liverpool really need is another midfielder/striker. That defender sounds like a real beast, the kind of player Swansea need.

mate of mine who's a liverpool fan said to me that the team so far have lacked some pace,he would give them that at least
im not sure he'd enjoy watching his career pass by while he sat on the bench..it would be great for us if he would be used sparingly but i imagine bellamy being the pro he is would want to see out his career playing football regularly (as possible)
i imagine bellamy would back himself to get into the liverpool starting 11 (why not eh) but i cant see it happening
anyway, after living at home for last season i think he has his heart set on staying in cardiff now,i dont think he would want to go to far on his travels

Bellamy on the left downing on the right he would get in the team

If that move went through he probably wouldn't get much football, unless he played on the right wing. Downing is younger and sharper than Bellamy these days although Bellamy would be an excellent addition for any Premieship side even at 31 and on his wages.

A sign of how desperate we've become when Bellars is the main man. Great player in his time and very passionate too but it would be nice to have a young gun or two forcing his retirement.

Not quite sure why you'd want to force his retirement?!? He is still class, I really hope this move goes through so he can continue to prove that at the highest level. I think he'll get a decent amount of game time at Liverpool with only Carroll, Suarez and N'Gog as registered strikers. I think he has at least 2 seasons left.
