I'm dissapointed in Craig but there is a reason he's not playing and it's not Dai Jones. Some over the top opinions on here. i know you're a cardiff fan and all that but there's no way anyone can defend whats gone on it's simply unacceptable people are understandably livid about the whole thing

Why quit following international football over this? It's wrong but there's still a team to support, and they bloody well need our support. I've given passionately and at times in detrement to work opportunities etc over many decades Saints, I have nothing left to give. I probably spend about 2K a year watching Wales, small change to these footballers who can't be bothered but a lot of money to us average Joes, why should I do it any longer? Just because some can't be bothered doesn't mean no-one can. There'll be 11 lads on the pitch next Friday giving it 100%.

Thinking about it, when was the last time Bellend had a decent game for us anyway?
He was shite in Podgorica (but so were many) could have squared the ball instead of going for glory.
The best Welsh performance for many a year was against the Scots (without Bellend) so let's forget about him and play Church & Ched against Bulgaria 4-4-2

Morison and Church in a 4-4-2 might be what Flynn is thinking...

Flynn should have insisted on Bellamy turning up, even if he didn't want Bellamy, excused him training and benched him. As it is we have no width on the right - no Davies, no Cotterill, and Kanu injured. No good talking of 4-4-2 without width on the right. I'd be happy to see Kanu on the right and Bellamy on the bench. When did Bellamy last have an EFFECTIVE game for Wales?

its all very strange,in the past bellamy has been quite commited, but this is a disgrace flynn needs to react to this,id call him up regardless of any cosy chats he may have had with dave jones this is championship cardiff walking all over the national set up,its not on and something should be done about it Totally agree its disgusting that they have been allowed to get away with this...i dont want to see bellamy back now after whats happened, theres no excuse.

I'm a Cardiff fan and gutted it has come to this.
If he was fit enough to play for Cardiff for 90 minutes he should be in the squad or retire.
Even if he just played one of the games I'd be happy.

So this is all a bit of a ploy to boost the squads confidence later in the week? mmm.. unlikely, I'd say, but then your predictions have been a bit better than mine of late Trendy so I hope you're right again!
Thing is, neither Earnshaw or Robson- Kanu played yesterday. They are both injured. So is possible call up David Cotterill, so if none of them make it, who's going to get called into the squad to replace them? there's no-one else playing at a high level that I can think of (sorry, but Jake Cassidy is nowhere near ready ...for the U21s even)... Or will Flynn risk a double header with only 3 strikers in the squad?

As Earnshaw has withdrawn is there anything to prevent Flynn from calling up Bellamy? CCFC would then be in difficulty. Trendy seems to be suggesting there's been a ploy. Who's ploy and to what purpose?

Flynn should recall him for the squad. The importance of our national team outways by far a club team, no matter who they play for. I refuse to slate Flynn before anything has happened.

If that article is right then Bellars is being a total bellend with those comments. And a hypocrite. Here's the proof: news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/internationals/7675096.stm'I'm in awe of the U21s' 'How good is the manager Brian Flynn?' I despise Venables. If Bellamy will only carry on as a Wales player if he's appointed, then I'd rather he retired from internationals right now. What more are we going to get out of him anyway? The rest of this campaign I'd have thought. And thats it. And has been pointed out, he was appaling in Montenegro anyway. I can't tell you how much I want Flynn to get at least 4 points from these games and then tell Bellars where to shove it if he wants to come back for the England game. I'm absolutely 100% behind Flynn on this. Who the fuck does Bellamy think he is?

Very good blog. I totally agree with the bloggers conclusion too. I would rather see Bellamy retire than Venables in charge. If Bellars was annoyed by Tosh not coming to see him play, does he really expect Venebles to be making his way up to Scunthorpe and Barnsley to watch him on regular basis?!

Won't happen now. If it was a ploy I don't understand the thinking behind it, and dave j has stated that bellars would not have played this weekend if Cardiff had a game. As for venables - please let it be a wind up. He has plenty of media chums though I'd have thought if he wanted to drive the story.

I am really not happy with the Bellamy situation, and I think everyone is feeling the same. He really has some difficult questions to answer at some point, but looking at other countries attitude to similar players are we being harsh? Berbatov can retire from Bulgaria at a younger age than Bellamy and Bulgarians still adore the guy. The same in Sweden...Ibrahimovic has basically said he only wants to play in tournaments and the Swedes still love him, Henrik Larsson retired and came back loads of times, but again he's loved. Bellamy misses 2 games (so far) and we hate the guy?

We dont the guy, i hate the politics in all this, i hate the little chat that our might i stress CARETAKER, manager has gone and agreed with dave jones, i really really hope we do win, for flynns sake, cos i will cattergorically say unless we get 3-4 points from these 2 games flynn will autumatically be out. As hes made a huge error, not to at least enforce the fifa 4 day rule, and get bellamy right now in our squad.
If it is bellamy and he doesnt want to play in these 2 games, then he should imedietely retire, and yes i would change my user name.
However until we know all the facts, its 1000~% brian flynns fault, i mean hes the fucking part time manager, very brave if you ask me.
Howeveri m still welsh 100% and i will support the boys friday
Come on wales.

Did Ibrahimovic and Berbatov hide behind their club managers?
And do you think matty it is for "only 2 games"? In your heart you know that Montenegro was his swansong

Should our captain not come out this week and explain all this, i would say hes going to retire. Dave jones with that grinn on his face the other day is all that i will remmeber Craig for.

In your heart you know that Montenegro was his swansong If this wasn't the Craig Bellamy who has shown more passion for his country in the past than most fans have even shown I would agree. This is my opinion:- He knows Cardiff are pouring a lot of money down the drain the longer he is out, a club that already has money problems. He decides Cardiff is more important in the short term, and should he risk more injury by travelling to Switzerland, he'd seriously risk the future of his home town club. He will be back for Wales I'm sure, but count friendlies out, and the Nations cup malarky....saying that I think most players won't fancy the Nations Cup.
