Good move for him, hopefully he does well and lands a move to the PL like various other SPL players have done (although mainly for Celtic granted).
Thought he did okay in the brief times I saw him play in the PL (via TV, usually highlights). Shame Cardiff have let him rot the last 3 years.

Fucking Rangers though, really? The biggest bigoted Britnat wankers in existence. The type of wankers who spit on their own nations flag and replace it with the butchers apron.
Disappointed to see any Welsh player go to those pricks.

If this helps us and him in the long run it's a great move.

Young Declan has just scored 2 goals in four minutes!
You don't get to say that everyday.

Rangers fans are loving him. Seen a newspaper report this morning that they were singing "He's better than Gareth Bale". Perhaps a bit optimistic but great for his confidence.

It does not reflect well on Cardiff that a player who showed some promise 4 years ago has made zero impact/had zero game time since and has to move to another country to get a chance and immediately makes an impact with good skill and technique.
Not a criticism of Warnock as he is a great success and has his way of playing but what about the other wasted years!

Not a criticism of Warnock as he is a great success and has his way of playing but what about the other wasted years! In short- dreadful management. Ole just got the cash out and was like a kid in a sweet shop. Slade had a free half a season where he could have blooded youngsters and no one would have batted an eylid. Instead he let them rot and played shite journeymen in front of them. None of them are left at the club now (Though John is technically). Trollope just never got going so was never in a position to look at the youngsters. John's main problem is that he doesn't know if he's a fullback or a winger. I rate him going forward but defensively he isnt the best. He played a few times last year and was found lacking - let's be honest it was only Hamilton he was playing against last night. I'd love him to get some confidence up there and kick on. For his and Wales' sake. Love or hate Warnock he'll chuck the youngsters in if he thinks they're ready, problem is there's not many good enough left at Cardiff.

The youngsters at Cardiff who are 20-24 now and should have been breaking through were woefully mismanaged by successive managers, however there are players at the younger age groups such as Spence and Harris who are earning rave reviews from people who regularly watch the academy sides
The problem Cardiff and many FL clubs have is that as soon as they have a youngster with any kind of potential, the big clubs are sniffing round immediately and they are likely to go, this happened with Matondo and Cardiff are fortunate that Spence turned moves down (I was told he turned down Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea)

They were offering to relocate his family. Gutted Rabbi went.

Wow .. you think Spence is a better prospect? That's pretty exciting because i reckon Rabbi looks phenomenal. I haven't seen much of Spence but looks a cut above others his age. Is he a better CM? Number 10? The fella I was talking to said he's a really quiet, nice, level headed lad, with a nice family around him and wouldn't want to leave. Looking forward to seeing him push on.

Think I'd rather he moved to Rangers permanently CJ. He needs a period where he'll be a bigger fish in a smaller pond for the sake of confidence and development. He wouldn't be that at Leeds right now I don't think. I can imagine, if Leeds are interested, it's for cover while injured players are out. He could be seen as a cheap option because of his contract rather than a player they really want as a long term first team starter.

I agree with this, but either way, whoever the new boss is (or if Osian is still interim boss), we could really do with having a look at him in March.

Made up for him even it is for that club Feel it's a really good move for him. Glad he didn't go to a big fish in the champ like Leeds. Perfect level and he will play lots as they have made the investment with a long contract. You would imagine that Rangers will become a bigger fish in the SPL in time to come and I can seeing Declan growing at a similar rate.yer It'll be good to actually see Declan perform regularly on the telly and expect to see his name come up in the player watch threads. I still am clueless as to his potential even though I've seen him play a ton...

Young Declan celebrates his new contract with a goal this afternoon. Playing on the left wing btw.

Cool, makes sense in many ways. They're short on LBs and are having to use grimes, who I believe is a CM, to fill the slot.

Olsson is the only recognised LB and played v Sheffield United (Naughton can play there but he wasn't even in the 18 Saturday behind 2 CB in Rodon and Amat.. might be offski). I believe Amat can play full back and did in preseason once or twice. I'd happily take Declan so long as he is up to it, I have always been impressed with him whenever I've seen him play.
