Passenger most of the game. Vaulks dictated play in the middle of the park.

He's got quite a lot more quality than Vaulks imo.
Tonights game suited Vaulks more and he was up for it as it was his debut.

Easy to say he was crap when he was playing out of position. He's more of an attacking than a holding midfielder

Ridiculously negative comments based on one friendly game.

Lee let himself down tonight I`m sure he can do better than that, its all about taking the opportunity to impress he had a chance tonight and just didn`t show enough hunger to do well and should have been red carded.

Didnt see the challenge from our position, but from T&Ts reaction, in a friendly, it must have been bad

Had a very good game, motm after dummett Are you serious. He was one of the worst players on the pitch. He would also have been sent off if it was a qualifier. Dummett did ok but wasnt really tested

Put any of last nightโs individuals into our first team alongside the established players & see how much better they look.

True. However you should be able to impose yourself more against inferior and defensive opponents. I don't think it always works like that

True. However you should be able to impose yourself more against inferior and defensive opponents. The thing is, playing against teams that sit deep can be very difficult for a few reasons. Being able to make a forward pass can be easier when a team presses you because they leave space in behind. This is why some teams have had success against Man City this season on the counter. Conversely, if 10 men are dropped back and defending the space it forces you to go backwards a lot because they are specifically trying to cut off your forward options. When a team surrenders possession to you it may not look like you are imposing on the game because possession is easy. If we had played a more adventurous team yesterday you would likely have seen better performances from a few players. The weaker teams want to drag you down to their level, and it normally works to a degree, as we saw yesterday.

Lee getting an assist with a great drive forward. I only saw the last ten minutes of the 1st half, but Lee is having a great game ;-) Wigan down to ten men after 15' but are still 1-1 at half time. Leeds (Hernandez) miss a pen...

Haven't seen Lee since his (poor) match v TnT.
His stats tonight don't do him any justice. He actually had a very decent match, creating almost all of the Wigan (half) chances.
In the first half, when they hardly had the ball, he tried twice to release Moore with long balls - but without any luck.
After the break and conceding the goal, Wigan (and especially Lee) played really well.
He had two shots from outside the box graze the crossbar. Another from inside the box was blocked. He also had two superb crosses and two pin-point corners.
The only negative I can find in his game tonight was losing the ball quite cheaply under pressure. Almost always in the attacking third, but one of those led to the second goal for Fulham.
All said, I'd certainly give him a 8/10 tonight. Slightly generous there, but he really was the Wigan stand-out player.
Knocking on the 23 squad for us, but (on tonight's show) should certainly make the 30 player squad.

... just shows how much I understand football ... dropped to the bench today with Keiffer still keeping his starting role ...
Not saying that he should be a starter for Wales ... but thought he did enough on Saturday to keep starting for Wigan...
