anyone who watched the victory shield games this year will know just what a promising talent 14 year old Tyler Roberts is. He might, just might, be the striker we've all been crying out for..
..problem is, he's from Birmingham and signed to WBA. I have no idea how he qualifies for Wales (Welsh dad perhaps?) I imagine England will be sniffing around him.. Another one who might get an early call up to tie him down?

An excellent performance. Some supporters, including you and I, made a point of telling him how proud we were.
Like you, would love to know the connection. Dad, I assume?

Roberts looks like he has the ability to do likewise. I have no idea what his attitude is like though...which is a massive factor. Also, he needs to steer clear of injury.

I can see the Abbadonato headline now....
EXCLUSIVE: Baggies youngster Roberts "as good as Pele"
We all know he reads this for his ideas after all

I don't excited about any young player these days until they've shown form in the premiership, or championship at least. Heard it all before too many times. It's like all this buzz about emyr Hughes on here. Fine, I hope he proves a good player. But he's not even played 5 mins of first team football.

Played half an hour for the West Brom U21s the other day. He's 15. 2 other Welsh qualified players played in the game as well. Liam O'Neil and Daniel Barrow. Luke Kandi did play a few games for WBA u21s at the start of the season but isn't listed in their u21 squad page

Check out this clip of him on YouTube m.youtube.com/watch?v=b9jEKgeJW_8 I did contact the FAW about him (and George Higgins) as I was worried he'd switched to England and was told that the FAW were pleased to see Welsh players doing well and given Barrow's age he could be considered for u19 squads

It's been a long time since I've read anything. Tyler Robers looks a great prospect. Haven't seen anything of Cullen! Heard he's quality though.

Brought up in Gloucestershire - but does he qualify for anyone apart from Wales?
Maybe worth capping him if there is a risk. If he's on the bench for WBA, we need to be quick. Only 16 and 4 months.

I seen to remember his celebrations after beating england and winning the shield were pretty intense. I don't think we need to worry too much. (please no famous last words!)

Coleman is naming an extended squad which will be trimmed down week of the game so maybe he wants a good luck at him first? Would be great to cap him though, same as Wilson

I definitely subscribe to the In Coleman we Trust mantra, but I don't get the point of capping kids from youth teams in international qualifying matches. Sticking them in the squad to give them a taste of the atmosphere and training with Bale/Ramsey, etc. is one thing, but do we really need to cap kids to make sure they don't switch to England?

Yes, think of Jack Grealish at the moment!
