He’s never been a goal scorer

He tripped up when the goal was gaping. Looked very frustrated. Shame!

He's the type of player though that if the goals do start coming he'll really take off I think

I wish I could agree. But I think he is championship calibre at best he should move on in the summer and play regularly in the championship. Who knows he may then prove a few doubters wrong. Let's be honest he has hardly played for Leeds this season and I am still not convinced he is a definite striker his goal scoring record over the past seasons suggest differently

I've liked what I've seen from some of his appearances for us. Against England he was very good for example, and he's excellent on the ball.
However each time I've watched him for Leeds, games just pass him by. At 22 he's not exactly a youngster anymore, and I'm still not sure what he is, or where his strongest position is - a 10, winger, 2nd striker, forward, midfielder??

It looks like he's best in the 10 position, but completetly agree that he struggles to impose himself on games + he's so inconsistent. Often the approach work is really good, but then he let's himself down with a rubbish touch or pass. In the game yesterday there were a few excellent first touches / passes, but then also a few where the weight on the ball was completely off. It may be a concentration issue, he just needs to tidy up his game and be a bit more clever in finding space

I think he needs a full season of playing week in week out. He's 22 now but has never been a proper regular. He's always a bit part player, in and out of the team, playing different positions every time. It's no wonder he hasn't settled into a position or displayed any real consistency. Even if he has to drop down to the Championship, he needs a season of starting 30+ games rather than spend another season at Leeds getting 20 minute cameos and the odd start here and there.

Recent performances suggest he has had a fire lit underneath him as he's definitely improved these last couple of games. It's pleasing to hear Bielsa is a fan of him, as ultimately that's all the matters

Watched much of the game and the assist was a superb one, reminiscent of Allen's for Ramsey against Russia, but better. He's falling over around the halfway line and still manages to execute a defence splitting pass, that was perfectly weighted and directed, so that Bamford didn't have to break his stride to score. Roberts came pretty close to scoring a couple of goals himself too.

Seems to have nailed down that spot now which is great with the qualifiers in two weeks. He’ll have a part to play off the bench no doubt with Brooks out.

For sure, if anyone of the forward line drop out he'll be there or there abouts, probably next behind James in the pecking order for the forward line

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/56355107I think purely by virtue of playing for a Premier League team and getting a decent amount of minutes he's almost guaranteed a spot in the squad now. And his versatility only strengthens his case. Watching him play for Leeds a few times recently, I think he'd be a good understudy to Ramsey.

Agree, I think he's the best dribbler in our squad after Ramsey, which is why he reminds me of him. People like Bale and Brooks are great at dribbling at speed, but Tyler & Ramsey are the best dribblers in small spaces

He's not a striker, and he doesn't appear to be a winger either (though I admit I haven't seen him play there much). But he looks quite comfortable through the middle, and his style of play reminds me of Ramsey a lot. He's always trying those little flicks like Rambo, and his movement is similar too - he makes those late runs into the box. He's quite a frustrating player at the moment though, and things often don't come off for him, but the same could have been said of Ramsey at the beginning of his career (heck he can still be frustrating now!), but if Roberts can improve his execution and consistency, he could potentially be Ramsey's heir.

Just had a goal (correctly) disallowed. Only a tap-in, but still a shame.
Edit: Hit the bar with a really cute chip too. 'Keeper possibly got a fingernail to it.

Forgot about Tyler. May be a case for starting him against Belgium actually.
Where is he playing tonight?

Playing a very decent number 10. Really making a great case for starting against Belgium. He has a superb burst of energy even after 90' of running. Almost like his Swan namesake ;-)
Only criticism I can half-heartedly suggest is that he isn't selfish enough to go it alone.
Between Tyler, Daniel and Conner the old donkey de Bruyne will have his head in a constant spin ;-)

Played well again tonight. Very unlucky in recent weeks, could’ve had 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 matches if it wasn’t for VAR and Mendy.
Deserves competitive minutes for sure, seems to have improved of late.

Doesn't start for me just yet, but would be the first attacking sub I'd go for. Moore is too valuable as a target man for a game of this magnitude

Yes, I think the front three picks itself now rambo's out - bale, james and moore. Unless we start with a back four of course, which would create room for another forward, but I can't see that happening
