Sounds like he's settled in well. If he gets a good run of form he should earn a move up a division next time.
Like the way one fan described him as a complete striker. Hope so because we're in short supply at the moment.

Scored again - most Walsall fans seem to think he won't stay beyond Jan because he's too good for that level. Another one making good progress!

He's been linked with Arsenal now along with a host of other PL sides. Not sure why, he had a promising start for Walsall but his goals seem to be drying up a bit. Still has a lot to prove before he can be considered an option for the seniors imo.

Arsenal have an excellent record of giving youngsters a chance to prove themselves in other competitions so I hope there's something to their supposed interest in them.

Got any links? I cant find anything related to this. Incidentally, you can watch Tyler live on S4C at 17.15 as Newport take on Walsall in the FA Cup. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/s4c

Are there any Newport County players in or around our U21 team to look out for?

Good luck to him. Am pleased to see him progressing. Am however a bit surprised he is getting so much attention from top clubs as he has not done anything particularly astonishing! Would be incredible if he soon joins our gang of 3 kidsters!

Good to have another of our players playing abroad, variety can only be a good thing. I'll believe it when it's confirmed though.

From what little I have seen of him, I would still class him as a prospect. Ellis Harrison on the other hand is back in the goals. A must for the China Cup, and a possible move to the championship next season.

Ellis Harrison a must for the China cup are you kidding me, are you planning on taking 50 players He has a 1 in 4 scoring rate in league 1 and 2 and 1 in 5 for the u21s He is 23 and could get better but he should be nowhere near the squad yet

Then yes he will go if he's still scoring in the new year.

Marseille and Rangers battling to sign West Brom teen Tyler Roberts as they eye £300,000 compensation deal www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5265845/Marseille-Rangers-wants-West-Brom-teen-Tyler-Roberts.htmlMarseille are ready to rival Rangers for West Bromwich Albion's teenage striker Tyler Roberts. The 19-year-old has been on loan at League One Walsall yet is out of contract at Albion in the summer. Albion have now moved to offer him new terms, however, their initial delay has opened the door for Marseille and Rangers who know they can prise him away for as little as £300,000 compensation and have been watching him closely in recent months. Both clubs are due to watch him again against Charlton Athletic next weekend as they look to formalise an offer for the Wales Under 21 international. The prospect of playing regularly for Marseille or Rangers is bound to appeal to the youngster as Albion manager Alan Pardew is looking to bring in more experienced forwards for his first team squad this month. Roberts, who made his senior debut for Albion at 17, can play as a striker or on either wing and has scored five goals in 15 league games this season.

A move to Rangers will do him good, should get plenty of game time and goals up there. Potential stepping stone to greater things and that.

For the love of God please sign for Marseille.
The Scottish Premier League is a graveyard, and his footballing career is too young to die.
Rangers are also a dying team.

Marseille or Glasgow? Needs to go to France if he wants to become a real player. He'll get a proper football education there. Yeah Marseille given the choice but can’t see it happening.

Scottish football is a graveyard for established players, but how many Premier League quality players have come out of that league recently? Van Dijk, Wanayama, Ki, Forster, Kayal from Celtic alone.
If you're not good enough in Scotland then you're not good enough full stop. He'd never get near Marseille's first team and wouldn't ever get a chance. He'll get regular football at Rangers in the spotlight. If he's good enough he may get a Premier League move soon anyway.

Marseilles or Rangers wow now this is interesting. I personally would prefer Rangers as I believe he would be fast tracked into the starting XI (K Miller must be 38 by now). The sooner the better for me, none of this 'wait until he's ready' nonsense. He's not 15 anymore he's a young man and I think this would be a good move. I now to some it signals the death knell of a promising career to go to Scotland but Robertson, Van Dijk (Wanyama too?) show that it can be a springboard.
As an aside I'd start supporting Rangers up there with Roberts and John who I've always been fond of, playing together.

I agree but it would be hard to resist the lure of Marseille for a young aspiring footballer. I think he would start for Rangers and as you say it puts him in the shop window if he does well after a few seasons.
