Good luck Tyler at Leeds, but surely there was a better option?

Wow, I that's true, that's amazing. Another top prospect on our hands here. Signs for Charlton for 2.5m The San Siro has got nothing on the Valley, obviously.

A load of "news" sources are saying Leeds is a done deal In the live updates page on the bbc football site. Edit: Oh how odd, just googled and it looks like it is Leeds he has gone to. I'll have another look through the bbc page- they may have submitted a typo. Crazy money either way.

Has this move been confirmed then? Christiansen apparently decided to leave Tyler out of the squad for the match against Cardiff.. Not sure how much difference it might have made judging by that unfortunate rout but he might be quietly ruing that decision all the same...
On the plus side, Cardiff might be within touching distance of a top 2 or play-off finish for possible promotion to the Premier League..

Seems to have been missed by many on here, he's chipped a bone in his shin, could be out for a while

Really disappointed for the lad. With Tyler, Harry Wilson and David Brooks appearing to miss out on the China Cup, its looking like a call up for Simon Church is on the cards ;-0

“horrible” injury bombshell
"stunning turn of fortune for the club and player following the devastating turn of events."
"Roberts’ injury blow would have been devastating to both player and club, his chance of securing some first team action cruelly torn away from him by injury."
What a laughably sensationalist piece of journalism.

Tyler getting 1st team game time for Leeds. Just had an injury scare after being brought off after 38 minutes... "Leeds United fans have been handed a boost over the status of striker Tyler Roberts after seeing him substituted surprisingly early on in the club’s friendly clash with Guiseley on Thursday", according to journalist Lee Sobot. thisisfutbol.com/2018/07/blogs/early-roberts-sub-not-serious-in-leeds-clash/

The fact he's been given no.11 at Leeds bodes well.

Tyler starts for Leeds tonight. Was hammered on Twitter, but got a lot of love in the comments column in this article ... Still needs to work on match fitness, no doubt.

Doesn't seem like he had a great game. That's probably the end of his chances for a while now they're out the cup.

Talk sport reporting that Patrick Bamford is injured and will be out of Leeds squad for at least 4 months.
Things are looking increasingly good for Tyler :+)

Bamford's done his cruciate - so at least 4 months. I had a brief chat with Tyler on sunday night in the hotel, seems to be enjoying life under Bielsa. Roofe is on fire but our only striker, so Tyler should be getting more game time off the bench at least. However we've got a couple of very good U-23 strikers in Sam Dalby and Jack Clarke who will be pushing him.

Roofe also injured for Leeds - Bielsa said in his press conference today that Tyler likely to start upfront against Millwall on saturday - as is usual for their cup final, Millwall have sold out. Nice quiet game for his full LUFC debut.

Tyler was given the striker role today.
I didn't see the match but the press have been harsh saying that he "didn't impress many", despite having two clear attempts in the first half.
On Twitter, many Leeds fans were laying the blame for their team's first poor half (despite having around 60% possession) on the defence and midfield.
The media is also forgetting that this was his Championship debut! What a shame, but clearly the boy may just need time.
Hope Bielsa involves him against Preston.
