Great to see them fighting and then gain composure towards the end of the half!
As long as they do themselves justice - that is all we can ask! Great quality goal!

They said at half time four games against Germany 34 conceded none scored before today, they really are a super power in women's football aren't they, but even though we will probably be up against it there are chances there i think, they don't look amazing defensively.

The big disappointment is how vulnerable we look when it's crossed into the box. I'm far from an expert, but it's always hailed as one of the more basic aspects of the game to defend. That said, they move the ball quickly and are dragging us about. But, if we can stick in it another chance may come. Considering the opposition and that we're still in the game, surely has to be a positive so far.

Ingle has been so poor for us.
She is perhaps playing at the highest level but she seems to hardly be involved for long period and today she has cost us 2 goals

No subs til the 86th minute even though they look knackered doesn't make sense The scoreline doesn't flatter Germany given the first half too. Although have to consider the level we're stepping up to. But the lack of in game management is worrying, persistent theme, don't seem to change formation/approach or players in the game to react to what's happening. Does she not trust anybody on the bench?

I think the move to Man Utd for Gemma Evans has not been a good one so far - just stuck on the bench and she has looked a bit poor since, presumably due to lack of game time. I think Ladd has been benched by UTD a couple of time too. Roberts has not looked so solid as usual either and as I said Ingle - I know she does much more than we see - positional play, etc, but she can be anonymous at time and today she cost us 2 goals. Just a shame we could not have kept the loss down to 2 goals!
Goalkeeper is a positive - looks like Clark can be decent for us with a bit of experience.
At the end of the day we are unsurprisingly out of our depth with the top 2 in our group but hopefully we can learn against them and get the better of Iceland. I guess we need to be patient for the next Fishlock or Ludlow to emerge, or even a prolific striker like Ward!
As an aside - I have criticised James a bit at times but I think she played very well today!

Only picking up on a couple of little bits that you've mentioned there, but totally agree with Clark, despite conceding five goals she did well to keep it down to that much. Iceland is such a massive game now, the points dropped out there heap massive pressure on, but I can't see them getting anything against Denmark or Germany, so we should still have it in our hands to stay at the top level.

Poor performance, but the keeper played well. Unfortunately, they seem to be going backwards.

Poor performance, but the keeper played well. Unfortunately, they seem to be going backwards. Because we've struggled against Germany and Denmark?? There are teams in women's football that have been investing time and money for decades and we're playing catch-up.

So I see our U19 lost 6-1 to England - not nice but understandable
BUT
I saw on Dragon Football - absolutely terrible results last month against the Republic of Ireland
Wales Women Under 19 squad (September 2023) Wales Women Under 19 Friendly matches :from FAI Wed, 20 Sep 23 : Wales 0 Ireland 7 Fri, 22 Sep 23 : Wales 0 Ireland 6
How on earth did that happen? Is it poor coaching, a hopeless manager, playing kids too young? They may be better than us but we should not be that far behind Ireland! Unbelievable as to lose that heavily at home TWICE against someone that should be similar to you is totally unacceptable as there must be a systematic failure somewhere

"When I first took the job, I sat with Jonathan Ford and said 'Jonathan, if you want to qualify, it'll take a minimum of 12 years'," said Ludlow, who is now technical director of Man City's academy. "People in the room didn't necessarily like what I said, but it was the reality. "We're 10 years down the road and there's still work to do because the game is evolving. "That's why I sit here positively because I think those changes can be made, there's people in Wales who are able to assist those changes. "The future is still bright." In all fairness, GG's position will need to be thought about if there's another thumping defeat tomorrow night in Denmark (let's hope there won't be, and that the team puts in a performance AND gets a positive result).
Gemma must surely appreciate that performing (reasonably) well is OK, but results do also matter.
I understand that a draw/win away in Denmark will be a tall order, but - regardless of the outcome tomorrow - we absolutely MUST make home advantage count in the games against Iceland & Germany in December, or else the men/women in grey suits may be hovering...

Didn't see the game, but it was a better performance according to the BBC. 2-1 loss away a decent result considering the previous games.

The result flattered us. We could easily have been 4 or 5 down, before we pulled a goal back from nowhere. Good goal, and we pressed well after that.
Huge gulf between us and Germany and Denmark. If we don't beat Iceland Grainger's position should be in doubt. I see little evidence of any progression. In fact we seem to be going backwards.

Don't believe the BBC report, we were complete garbage for 70 minutes, struggling to complete 5 yard passes. Not good enough.

Last 5 Results - lost 2-1, 5-1, 5-1, 1-0, 2-0. Goals: conceded 15, scored 3.
Not great!
Can wins really be secured against Iceland and Germany in December, or will this poor run continue?

I see the team GB thing has raised its ugly head again. Apparently they will have England’s manager and Team GB will qualify for the Olympics if England qualify from their Nations League group. In the unlikely event of Wales or Scotland qualifying but England don’t, then Team GB won’t be able to complete in the Olympics (!) If England qualify they would still be able to select Welsh and Scottish players. Yet if Wales qualify and England don’t,they not only will not be able to select England players, they just wouldn’t be able to go to the Olympics at all. The Welsh players are in a bizarre position of hoping England qualify so they could have a chance of being selected for the Olympics, all whilst knowing that their own efforts for Wales will be irrelevant to the Olympics. What a farce! Also, didn’t we have everyone saying in 2012 that it would be a one-off? I know of at least one obese but handsome member of this forum who warned that it wouldn’t be. Edit- I’ve read the rules a few times and am convinced that I’ve got this right, would be happy to be corrected if I’ve got any of this wrong because this seems too bizarre to be correct The farce continues. England losing last night means that they need to win their last two games to have any chance of going through, and therefore Scottish and Welsh players will be able to join the squad as team GB The last game is against Scotland. So if any Scotland players want to go to the Olympics, they need to throw the game. England win, Scottish players able to be selected for the Olympics. Scotland Win, England are out and Scottish players won’t be going to the Olympics. Everyone warned of this scenario , ludicrous. #noteamgb

No to Team GB. Even the name Team GB is wrong as it removes Northern Ireland.
Regarding our game last night, I didn't see the full game but we scored a really nice goal and put them under 10-15 mins of pressure around that time. Something to build on hopefully.
