Lets hope history repeats itself 100 years ago the Palace no.9 in 1911 was a certain J.Williams who became an enormous Palace favourite and went on to gain Welsh international honours Described as "an eager, neat and busy little footballer who possessed a snappy tackle and plenty of enthusiasm and determination" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_Williams_%28footballer%29Spooky ain't it ;D

As I said prepare for the worst hope for the best. If it happens I'm prepared thats all I'm doing and it's great seeing you getting your back up about something u r hoping is a false story. It probably is a false story but it's the papers way of saying "hey English FA, you know this guy can play for england don't u?"

72:28 Assist by Jonathan Williams. 72:28 GOAL - Darren Ambrose Crystal Palace 1 - 0 Southampton
Jonathan Williams leaves the field to be replaced by Anthony Gardner. 81:13 GOAL - Jermaine Easter Crystal Palace 2 - 0 Southampton Power penalty scored by Jermaine Easter. Crystal Palace 2-0 Southampton. 80:07 Jonathan Williams fouled by Dan Harding, the ref awards a Penalty.
----------------------------
I'm guessing he went off to a warm round of applause... he already seems to be having a massive effect in most of the games he plays.

Just got back from the match & yes Williams played well yet again no suprises their what a star this lad could become,Price was good he was commanding/dependable in goal tonight and Easter was impressive tonight & scored the penalty www.thisiscroydontoday.co.uk/Eagles-sail-Carling-Cup/story-13657269-detail/story.html"What can we say about Joniesta? A centre of gravity that must be millimetres away from the turf, he slips away from the opposition like a bar of soap before playing clever passes that Barcelona fans would purr at. Combine that with his ball-busting work ethic and buzziness, it’s easy to see why he’s so highly rated. His directness caused Saints all sorts of problems, the only thing missing was to cap a wonderful performance was a goal, but there’ll be plenty of those to come." ;D

Being sensibly rested I imagine- he started at the weekend. As he's started in every round so far, he'll almost certainly get his chance vs Man Utd in the league cup QF... which will be interesting.

"How did he do today?"
Did fairly well today he added a bit more pace & urgency to palace but t no avail, enjoyed day out at Cardiff a bit like home with all that smoke about the ground.

Palace assistant manager Lennie Lawrence just on radio Wales before saying his advice would be to stick with Wales. And he thinks that would be Dougie Freeman's advice too. I've always liked Lennie Lawrence.

Lennie the legend. Gave a number of Welsh lads a chance at Bristol Rovers and a few debuts at City. Byron Anthony, Ryan Green, Joe Jacobsen and Lewis Haldane among others.

I think he helped the likes of Earnshaw and Gabbidon's development too when he was Cardiff manager. Respect to Lennie.

Williams' Wales Under-21 room-mate Tom Bender is sure his friend will not follow Rhys Williams and Owen Hargreaves by leaving the Welsh set-up to represent other countries.
"There is always going to be those rumours about good young Welsh players that can play for other countries," said defender Bender.
"I speak to Jonathan quite a lot and I'm 99.9% sure he is fully committed to Wales, he is always telling me he loves playing for Wales."

No doubt he is fully committed to Wales, like I have said on here before his dad is Welsh & being from Bangor aye, JW will not ever pick England "Williams' under-21 team-mates bought him an iPad for his 18th birthday while away on international duty and his father is from Bangor"
;D
