Keith Allen
You may also use this thread to deposit any examples of uncle toms jumping on the bandwagon.
Call them all out.
You can only deposit one at a time - that's the only rule.

Can this be pinned?
We all have a duty to consider ourselves Uncle Tom Finder Generals in the run up to the end of the group and hopefully France 2016. This thread should be our Malleus Maleficarum so should be visible to all.

Griff Rhys Jones. Three Welsh names, but about as Welsh as the three feathers on the egg team's jersey.

Whilst I am on the subject of English Royalty - what about Prince William of Wales? Isn't he President of the WRU or something daft like that? Yet he's always at Twickers cheering on the English. Funny that. Let's not have him or his half-brother anywhere near us thanks.

Rob Brydon
The case for the prosecution: Giving it the big one about England on that Baddiel and Skinner world cup show, lapping up the piss that they put in his bowl.
I suppose the guy has to make a living and its all a part of the dirty promotional circuit, but no man who was proud of his sporting heritage would suck up to the neighbour's football team just to curry favour.
Verdict: Uncle Tom.

Are we outing Uncle Toms who have turned their backs on Wales or just the ones who have been caught with their hands in the til, sucking the cock of their English overlords whilst having a crafty eye on tickets for France in 2016?
Anthony Hopkins fails the Uncle Tom test for me because whilst he feels American enough to claim American nationality he has never (to my knowledge) dug Wales out or vocally pandered to England, especially not in a sporting context.

Actor Tom Ellis.
Rugby follower & for the even more deplorable crime of supporting Arsenal.

What about welsh fans who support English clubs ?? Since we call on stars who in English overlords as you say what about many who support English league clubs week in week out, especially those who have English internationals eg manure Liverpool etc,

Ok well some of you know that i live in Guatemala and a few years back Ian Rush was over in Central America scouting for Man City and he never came to Guatemala but he went to Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras and El Salvador and at that time England were bidding for the World cup with Qatar. So here´s the story. The then British Ambassador to Guatemala Julie Chappell was in my bar and she´s a big Liverpool fan and i casually said that Rushie was in Central America doing some publicty stuff and scouting for Man City(then Mark Hughes)and then she replied ´oh i was with Rushie in El Salvador at a British Cónsul gathering a few weeks´ She then showed me a photo of her and Rushie and Rushie to my horror holding up an England football jersey to support the then World cup bid. Not really an Uncle Tom but Rushie was never the brightest!!! Pissed me off that

When i was around 17 i was drinking in the Vulcan, a rough shithole of a pub near the Baseball Ground in Derby and I had a Wales football jersey on. I didn´t do that again The whole place wanted to kick the shit out of me!!!!

Supporting an English club and taking the piss out of your sporting heritage are two totally separate concepts. Im proud to support my local club, as bad as they are. But I am also proud of Welsh roots and as bad as we have been at football I dont think I have ever been like Keith Allen telling all my mates that Wales are fucking useless at football for their amusement.

I wonder what Jamelia's reaction would be when she find out that Ruth Jones is so Welsh that she supports England at football?

We have to be careful that this thread doesn't turn into a 1950's Hollywood witch hunt against communists or a mob from the Deep South with white pointy hats carrying a burning cross. In defense of Ian Rush you've been in the tropics, you're fucking tired, you're sitting on the table with a bunch of diplomatic fuckwits and then Julie Chappell then the youngest ever Ambassador in the history of Britain(age 27) says 'Ian I'm a life long Liverpool fan, blah blah blah. Can you support our World Cup bid' he's going to do it just to get her out of his fucking face.

Point trying to make is are we toms as we support an English club ? and give out about the English.... that's irony.
When we played England in last qualifiers I stood up and showed the rest of derby I was against England and nearly paid heavy price for that, not one of my smartest moves lol.

Not spotted as yet, but will guarantee that Neil Kinnock will be on the bandwaggon. When Cardiff was on a good run, he suddenly came out of the woodwork as being a "lifelong" City fan. I fully expect that he will be a there talking about his passion for Welsh international football.

He did also appear in last year's Better Together video as well, whilst not football-related of course that did disappoint me at the time. Gareth Edwards (rugby) was in that one too lol!

I fully expect that he will be a there talking about his passion for Welsh international football. Yeah good point. This thread should definitely include: -all 'lifelong' fans just spotted joining the bandwagon, even though we have never ever seen them associated with anything to do with the Welsh football team; and -any nauseating 'celebrities' jumping on board just as we approach qualification who are on TV squealing with excitement.
