How do you know Jones made the decision based on money? How do you know I would base my decision on money? I might base my decision on what's best for me as a cricketer. Maybe Jones did the same. Perhaps he thought that publically turning down the cap would be an ultimately futile gesture. Who knows? Anyway, before I depart this debate (as playing the man, not the ball is not my style) I'll ask you 2 questions. Isn't Jones the same as Ramsey who donned the Team GB shirt? How did you feel when Ramsey scored against Russia, did you cheer? No Ramsey donned a GB shirt not and England one and yes I cheered. I don't know what your trying to prove with those questions. I despise the lions and I hated team GB and the olympics and celebrated when South Korea scored. I am Welsh not English or British and as far as i'm concerned every Welsh athlete should only wear a Welsh jersey. What's best for you as a cricketer and what's best for Jones is selfish because you/he could of been the one with all that talent to change the whole nation's view to the sport you love. Kids could of worn Welsh jersey's and dreamt of playing cricket for Wales instead of wondering why they don't have a team like in the rugby and football I watched GB football in the olympics and wanted them to win. There is no way I would want Welsh players (even with GB) to lose and I enjoyed seeing Welsh players in a tournament which may have actually aided their development in the long run. I wouldn't apologize to anyone for this: it was a one off and didn't affect the Welsh team.

Keith Allen You may also use this thread to deposit any examples of uncle toms jumping on the bandwagon. Call them all out. You can only deposit one at a time - that's the only rule. Kevin Allen. Keith's younger brother. Didn't he do the Italia 90 documentary following England around? The traitor Kevin Allen is back in Swansea. "Swansea is my home and we recently came back. We've been all over - LA, Ireland, and now we're back here to bring our kids up. www.walesonline.co.uk/whats-on/film-news/kevin-allen-confirms-working-sequel-11683702

May I request that the administrators of the Principality Stadium and BBC Radio Wales twitter accounts be included as an Uncle Tom?
And if not already done so, I would like to submit an application that Paul 'bananaman' Abbandonato be given a life membership.

Not in the UK at present but I believe Savage has become Welsh again picking up on a TV presenter who asked him if "we" could win the world cup.

I'm sorry, but surely nobody can compete with Jason Mohammad in the Uncle Tom stakes? An Ely boy, Welsh speaker, went to Cardiff and Swansea universities, "Cardiff" (Spurs) fan, and yet...
I think the likes of Brydon can be excused slightly as they aren't really sports fans, never mind football, whilst Mohammad is a high profile Welsh figure in sports journalism but is a bootlicker of the highest priority, constantly attempting to further his career and putting Wales down whilst doing it

A little part of me dies inside every time I see Gabby Logan looking pleased with herself as she has her daily cosy chat with some mug from the England camp.
I guess the problem is that I project my national identity on to these people when in fact they probably don't care about having a national identity, it isn't important for them and they will happily wear the national shirt of the country that pays them their wage and do what is best for their career.

In fairness, we can't complain, otherwise we'd sound a bit like our grumpy neighbours who wonder why so many of our dual nationality players are opting to play for Wales... ๐

Maybe I'm confusing her with someone else but sure I heard that she had some sort of competitive affiliation with Wales in her early years.

She's half-English and she was raised in England. If she feels that her affinity is to England, or if she's one of those dual-national people who identifies with both countries, then fair enough, can't argue with that.
