exciting prospect. I feel he's certainly earned his chance now. Also I think Speed will love him (similar type of player).

Arguably, King is the best of our young bunch of midfielders bar Ramsey. I'd want to see him start playing more under Speed.
Anyone follow the SPL and can report on Ledley's form?

Those fan comments are more proof of just what brilliant job Brian Flynn is doing. Instead of Welsh managers(hello Bobby Ghoul) going out of their way to find Anglos with Welsh Grannies in their mid 20s who have realised they'll never be good enough to play for England anyway (hello Andy Johnson), we are now bringing talented teenage Anglo's through the Welsh underage system, players who might one day be good enough to actually play for England (Collison, King) but want to play for Wales and pull on the red shirt with pride, as well as seeing it as a good way of progressing in their career.
Another reason why Flynn must stay.

Another reason why Flynn must stay. Good point, getting them in the system early must breed some sort of loyalty at least from players with English connections. Although my concern with that, as ever, is the number of players under 21 and below who manage to sustain a career in the football league. Thats why I am always dubious about using under 21 football as a reason for predicting future success

Of all our double eligible players I think its only Collison who is still eligible to play for us and another counrty all the rest have competitive caps.

Another 2 goals today - that's 14 for the season- so he's our top goalscorer and most in form player. With Morison and Bale out we need all the in form goalscoring players we can get. Toshack and Flynn didn't show enough faith in King- he should have started vs Montenegro and Bulgaria. I hope Speed will be different.

he is in a good Moment and eriksson clearly Trusts him for his Project -
without having ever really seen him, i can't speak definitively on him, but the signs are all looking good for him - and us.

A player who plays in front of the back 4 with more goals than all of our strikers. Says it all.

I agree 100% percent. I'm a MASSIVE fan of his. As far as I'm concerned he should start every game for us for the next 8 years.

They've been linked before. I wonder if its lazy journalism sometimes because they'll need to look for a Cahill replacement at some point true - but Leicester's captain won't come cheap, and Everton don't seem to have the money these days.

I'm not sure Everton will want Yakubu back and Sven will probably be keen to keep him, so that could well help oil a move for King. Maybe even a straight swap?

Well all the reports of late all seem to say "had a few shots but other than that, anonymous". That was certainly the case against Cardiff and for Wales too and Leicester fans only seem to rate him for his goals
He obviously has something about him, so I hope that for the love of god the club that buys him plays him further up the pitch. Its all very well saying about timing of runs etc. but can Wales afford to have a player who sits in front of the defence but is anonymous just so he might make a run and score a goal?

but is anonymous just so he might make a run and score a goal? Gerd Muller made a career out of it!

Thats exactly my point, the only position you can get away with it is as a striker or attacking midfielder where there is less pressure to make your presence felt elsewhere. Would Gerd Muller have had such a long career as a goalscoring defensive mid?

andy king runs exactly the same as frank lampard, anyelse notcieD? And David Edwards runs, and dives, like Steven Gerrard! But can they play together?

That is the question.....
Can't judge King on the Ireland game, it's possible he just had an off-night. Personally, I think he's worth a run against England. 15 Championship goals this season speaks a lot louder than one bad performance. Heck, our strikers would kill for that record.
Maybe the solution is to play him just behind a main striker as part of a 4-5-1, with Ramsey, Ledley, Vaughan and AN Other behind.
