Cookie still giving Jason Mohamed the cold shoulder. Was on the stage twice tonight collecting two awards (Team and Manager of the year) and both times was interviewed by the female presenter, with Mohamed nowhere in sight...

Thanks for the link. A really special programme. Even for the non-Welsh speakers - it captures the mode beautifully

I've just watched this brilliant programme and it was the best Christmas present of all! Far and away, the best look-back on the Euros there's been so far. At last, a review of the tournament that truly captures the feelings and emotions we all felt at the time.
The likes of Nic Parry, Malcolm Allen and Dylan Ebenezer (who wrote this documentary) really communicate the pure, unbridled, surprising, heart-swelling joy of the experience - as well as the nervousness and the disappointments. There was plenty of coverage I hadn't seen before and some of the behind-the-scenes observations from Osian Roberts and Ian Gwyn Hughes were brilliant (the players winding IGH up after the Iceland celebration sneaked out on Twitter is priceless).
Nic Parry's commentary is pure poetry. My favourite is after Bale's opener versus Slovakia: "And we can all say with one voice - Gareth Bale, you bring joy to my soul... That's what pure celebration looks like." All this while Malcolm Allen screams ecstatically in his ear!
Like many of us out in France, I had my share of unexpected, joyous experiences. One came back to me while watching the programme which was in Toulouse and the afternoon of the Russia match: Nic Parry and Malcolm Allen could see my brother, girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere to eat - preferably with a drink - and so came over to recommend a Middle Eastern restaurant they'd just eaten in, "And they're selling beer in cans!" I like to think they'd only had the one, what with the Russia commentary to do later!
Llongyfarchiadau i'r holl tim tu ol y rhaglen. Well done to all involved. It's an hour I'll keep on the plus-box and return to over and over again in the years to come. I can't recommend it enough.

Ha ha, I had Nic Parry defend me in court about a decade ago.A really nice guy who loves the national team and encouraged me to continue with my coaching badges. Didn't realise he still did the commentary while as a judge in Mold Crown Court.
Brilliant documentary that brought plenty of tears to my eyes.

I say **** off Swansea.....all the managers in the world to choose from. You don't play sign or keep any welsh lads.
No better than Cardiff anymore. ....and we're halfway through WC qualifying. Just fuck off.

I'll say one thing. If he does turn it down - he is one of a kind! How much does he earn managing Wales? He probably would earn at least 5x more by managing Swansea? I have never seen anyone turn that kind of offer down!
I assume he will go which annoys me as Swansea got themselves into this position. Having worked in investment banking I have observed how Americans believe they have a god given right to manage things and are full of nepotism for their fellow country men. That is why when Swansea sold their soul to the Americans it was not a shock that they controversially picked a fellow country man as their manager - they genuinely believe they are better at everything!
So annoying as we know the probable outcome - Coleman joins, Swansea get relegated and sack Coleman immediately. Meanwhile any chance of qualifying Wales had quickly goes up in smoke, as we employ a lightweight temporary manager, with Coleman having taken all the coaching staff with him (including Roberts).
If Coleman stays then he is an INCREDIBLE PATRIOT and please let us ensure if that happens we support him 100% no matter how bad things get as he is a better man than any of us would be in that situation and any other person in the history of football. All international managers of smaller countries are either looking at international football as a stepping stone to a big club job or as a retirement option. So typical this happens right now!

What I really can't understand is that there are only 20 premier league managerial jobs, so you would have thought that there would be a long list of decent top quality managers fighting to take one of those prime 20 places.
However, whenever a manager gets sacked the list of potential replacements looks grim.Lets face it, the bookies top 10 for the Swansea job don't look inspiring.
Hull scrambled around and ended up giving the caretaker manager Mike Phelan the job whilst Swansea got Bob Bradley, enough said.
Are there really no top managers out there.

Richards is injured, believe me we've been desperate at full back he'd have walked in the side. Huws has been a mystery mind, but not even Trollope was playing him. He was on the bench Monday so I'm hoping he'll get game soon

I really hope you are correct but what at present makes you so sure that Cullen & Sheehan will both be future Welsh internationals? Are they Swansea first team squad regulars?

Could have sworn this thread was about Swansea approaching / not approaching Coleman, very strange that you bring Cardiff into it?? I can't see Coleman going to them tbh, he's a good fit for international football as he has proven, maybe not experienced enough at premier league level ( Fulham aside). I presume Swansea would rather an old head with experience of keeping teams up,, redknap springs to mind?

The question to my mind, especially with our world cup hopes rapidly disappearing down the toilet is: can we do better than Coleman? Yes. No doubt about that.
Was he to blame for the dropped points against Georgia and Serbia? Probably not, in all honesty.
I wouldn't be averse to him leaving. Let's face it he will be gone either way in 10 months time most likely.
My worry is, that with the FAW coffers flush with cash, Wales currently looking a very good opportunity given ranking position and Euros showing and still with an outside chance of qualifying for Russia, that the FAW will go for the cheap and inexperienced option in Ryan bloody Giggs.

I'd say that if he does turn it down, it won't be because he is an incredible patriot rather he has made a rational decision that the current Swansea team aren't good enough, there isn't enough time or money to improve the squad and the club is majority owned by a bunch of cluessless Yanks. With his stock so high (even if we don't qualify for the World Cup), he will be able to walk into an overseas Champions League / Europa League club and he knows it. PS: Swansea - please, please, please employ Giggs as your next Manager. Everyone will then realise that he is totally useless as a coach or a Manager and then his name will never linked to the Wales job every again. Thank You.

Don't bank on us getting an improvement on Coleman,if he left the list of possible replacements would be less inspiring than the List of names that Swansea are currently looking at Only because the bookies themselves are clueless about international football so the only thing they know is the list of default British names like Pardew, Curbishley et al. If we were to court international names like Lagerback I daresay we would get a bite. However the FAW will no doubt go Welsh again with Giggsy top of the list.

So the favourites for the job are Gary Rowett and Paul Clement, both never managed in the premiership & dubious records, when Clement was manager at Derby he failed & Rowett has never managed a big league club.
They would be better off appointing & backing someone who knows the club in Alan Curtis until the end of the season at least.
He may even play the Welsh qualified players at the club.
