I'd ask him why he felt Wilson was ready at 16 with no 1st team games under his belt but Woodburn wasn't ready despite playing for Liverpools first team It's fairly obvious that bringing him on in the 88th min was to tie him down to Wales, but Coleman could easily have batted away that question as it's not like for like at all. Wilson came on in a game where we had around 15 injuries and there was nothing riding on it. We can hardly say the same about the Ireland game. Also, I've seen every minute of senior football Woodburn has played and being truthful, he hasn't had much impact on the games and doesn't look quite ready. Brilliant prospect and Klopp obviously has a lot of faith in him, but there's not much to suggest he would have made a difference in the Ireland game.Glad someone has had the balls to say it. That isn't to say he won't eventually be a top player, to have seen as much time on the pitch as he has under a manager like Klopp is quite some feat, but to judge him on what he brings to a side at the moment he hasn't done a great deal yet and as such I was surprised he has done enough to get nominated for UEFA young footballer of the year!

Chris Coleman is currently here in Doha as a guest pundit on beIN Sports with Andy Gray and Richard Keys. He covered all of the Premier League games yesterday and today, and will do the Arsenal match tomorrow night before the Champions League matches on Tuesday and Wednesday. Keys questioned him for a few minutes yesterday about the whole Euros experience. He had nothing groundbreaking to say; just emphasized that the team spirit and willingness to learn and fight for each other was like none other he has encountered in his career. He also said that Bale is, hands down, the player he has found easiest to manage. Always the first to take on board new ideas, without being afraid to question in a respectful manner, whilst always being the last off the training ground. Perfect combination according to Coleman. I very much look forward to meeting him at a charity dinner/Q&A/knees up at Doha Golf Club on Thursday night. Decent line up of ex-players due to be present - Gullit, Yorke, McCoist, McLeish, John Collins. Ramon Calderon (former Real Madrid President) also attending. If I get the opportunity to ask him a question, what should it be? Are you out here to top up your tan?

Ask him if he is definitely buggering off after the World Cup and which league would he like to manage in.

Appreciate the suggestions. Think I'll ask whether he believes there is more to come from the current group of players or if the Euros was the pinnacle, and who he'd like to see succeeding him after the current campaign.
It's a very hot one in Doha today so hoping that Cookie and the rest of them will be in thirsty mode later on! Looking forward to meeting William Wallace, one of the 'Lisbon Lions'.

I wouldn't bother asking him that first question, he is obviously going to give the politician's answer and back the players by saying yes regardless of what he really believes so you aren't going to get much insight there. The second question is an interesting one though.

Why didn't you take Emyr Huws to France, and how do you respond to comments that you might have won the tournament if you had?

Is there any truth that Simon Church is your illegitimate son? Otherwise why would you still pick him? More of a suggestion than a question; why don't you keep your passport in your mistresses knickers? That way you won't "lose" it before away games in world cup qualifiers.
Alternatively here is a question that I've always wanted to know the answer to - how did YOU come up with the idea to play with five at the back? How did YOU go about implementing it?

Mirror article here. Not sure what it's basing it's research on exactly... ........................................................................... Wales boss Chris Coleman will think about quitting if they lose their next World Cup qualifier www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/wales-boss-chris-coleman-think-10341936Chris Coleman is set to consider his future as Wales manager if they lose to Serbia on June 11. Defeat in that match would leave Welsh hopes of qualifying for next summer's World Cup finals in Russia hanging by a thread, and boss Coleman would then look at his options. The 46-year-old snubbed Premier League interest last summer in a bid to help Wales build on their stunning march to the semis of the European Championship — the nation's first major tournament since 1958. But Coleman has also stated that this campaign will be his last with Wales and could bring forward his plans to quit if his men are beaten by the Serbs. His £500,000-a-year contract is up next summer and Coleman is known to favour coaching abroad next — it's understood a lucrative move to China would interest him. Wales are just third in Group D ahead of that June 11 trip to face the group leaders in Belgrade — a match star man Gareth Bale is suspended for. While the Welsh remain unbeaten in the group, they have drawn their last four matches. Defeat in Serbia would leave them seven points off automatic qualification with only four group games left — and if second-placed Republic of Ireland beat Austria at home the same day, even a play-off spot will look out of reach. Former Wales stars Ryan Giggs and Craig Bellamy are both interested in potentially succeeding Coleman. Ex-skipper Bellamy, who won 78 caps, has a lot of backers at the FAW after his commitment in representing them. He is working with Championship side Cardiff’s youngsters as their player development manager. Manchester United legend Giggs, who won 64 Welsh caps, was interviewed by top-flight Swansea last year but missed out on the post.

Wouldn't normally pay much attention to Mirror gossip but this actually sounds quite plausible and inevitable.
If there was one time during the campaign when he would go it would be in June when clubs are on the look out for new managers for the forthcoming season. I would hope he sees this squad to the end of the campaign but it would difficult for him to turn it down if we got beat in Belgrade.

I'm confident we'll still get into the top 2.
Not keen on Bellamy succeeding Cookie.
I think Carl Robinson is a good shout.
Lars lagerback anyone?

A lucrative move to China?! What a sell out. Final pay day like Manuel Pellegrini perhaps but Cookie is a bright young manager who did more with Wales than many expected.
Agree with Bellers. Huge fan of the player and the attitude but no experience. I suppose Mark Hughes isn't coming back anytime. Those two could link up.

If there is truth to the speculation he doesn't come out of this well in my eyes.
We have a huge game coming up, the time for all this speculation is afterwards depending on the result. He would have months til our next game and enough time (should we lose) to resign and take over a club in time for pre-season.
For it to come out that he is considering his position at the moment should we lose and possibly going to China of all fucking places is a bit galling considering it is his pragmatism that has put us in the situation of nearly being out of a group where we were the TOP bloody seed!
I have no doubt our players are collectively better than the points total we currently have, they have just been lead like sheep since the Euros so I would strongly favour a quality experienced manager (ie not Giggs!) but this purely hinges on the next result. For Coleman to already be contemplating defeat is very poor and sends out a worrying message to the players.

All a Storm in a teacup ;-)
We shall at the very least get a draw out in Belgrade.
And then, when we get Bale, Joniesta and Churchy back in September, we shall blaze a trail all the way to the Red Square ;-)

A whole article without a single quote, even from an 'unnamed source' Some factual notes about our current position in the table followed by some guesses for a replacement that most people down the pub could have come up with. Topped off with some wiki facts about the two guesses I wish I had studied to become a journalist

Pure nonsense and speculation as usual. Cookie will be 100% focussed on Serbia. Tabloid garbage simply trying to stir.

I'd be so disappointed in Coleman and the FAW if he goes to Palace. The players have come out and said that they want Chris Coleman to be their manager. I still think Coleman will stay on as manager, he truly believes and wants Wales to qualify for a major tournament, Euro 2016 is our time. It would be idiotic to have anyone else manage us in the next campaign IMO . nobody likes a gloater, but i enjoyed reading this

On the times website it says Coleman has turned down Palace and could sign a new deal with Wales within 48 hours. Good news if true continuity is the key, the players will be happy, hope they build on the last two games now. Yes Baxter

People lining up to become members or part of the order of the British empire turns my stomach to be honest. The honours system should be modernised and that nonsense should have stayed in the nineteenth century, along with royal family and all the pomp and media fawning that goes with them. Would have loved to see Coleman tell them where to shove it - instead he's gleefully accepted it and made some cringeworthy joke about not being brave enough to ask Charles who he supports - he's English so who does he think?!
I know I'm probably in the minority here but I really hate all the sucking up to them.

After all the plaudits from Welsh fans, the awards and recognition from Welsh people why does a piece of metal from the Queen of England mean anything?
