Think you really need to go for promotion next season. You've got an aging squad. Will FFP be a problem for you? Your wage bill seems quite high. We have high wage bill, we alledgly close to ffp, we have oldish squad, a owner who is getting involved in dressing room, player power has cost 2 maybe 3 mangers their jobs, fans are at a loss how we fuck up it at latter half of the season and now managerless. To say things are not hunk dorry is in understament promotion seems along way away. Ps. Weather can be bit bad there to. Would I take CC as manager yes. We close ish each season and would do his reputation loads like getting Wales to semis and derby to premier. Reality he Wong get a premier league job so why not derby. (Except for all the above reasons lol )

People on here said it was a win win situation for Coleman, when he took the Sunderland job. I’m sorry but they got it wrong!!! Sunderland getting relagated destroyed Cookie’s reputation. No winner there If there were they would have been in the minority. I don’t recall many saying it was a good move, if something the majority warned against it.

No winner there Really? The way I remember it, everyone said it was madness and seemingly only Coleman himself couldn’t see that the club was a shambles that would end in disaster

Fulham, Real Sociedad, Coventry, AEL, Wales, Sunderland, Hebei China Fortune Odd career He’s been up, down, up and down again... Wales matured him but his last two moves are very erratic.

Took a job in China. Money move. The Sunderland fiasco destroyed his reputation in the UK 35 miles from Beijing.
Beijing is a great city, but when the sand storms roll in from the Gobi, he will think that the air up in Sunderland was super clean ;-(

Sadly Simon Church had retired so I wonder wonder who's going with Chris to China? Allen? Kanu? Chester?

Great money move for him. If he can do something in China, i dont see it damaging his career tbh. Its better than dropping down to league one or two, which would have been the alternative.

I appreciate they’re huge names but Rangers and Derby County brought managers in who had very little experience. Did Fortune Cookie have no other offers?

Probably did but on nowhere near as much as he'll be on over there. Don't blame him one bit, earning loads, relatively cheap compared to here, make the most of it.
He's still very young for a manager. I'm sure when he's done in China, providing he does a decent job he won't be short of offers given his experience.

I remain cynical. It took him years to rebuild his career with Wales and now he’s in football wilderness again.

Can you name any other manager in China? Fair play if you can, every time I see on Facebook someone’s managing in China I always think to myself “oh yeah” then forget about them again in 10 mins time. It goes for players as well.

Funny you should ask that ;-) Manuel Pellegrini ... He did OK out there and bounced right back into the PL ;-)
GOOD LUCK TO SIR CHRISTOPHER

I hope he does well, I just feel he’s joined the managerial wilderness. If he went to manage in Latvia he could pop up in Champions League matches. If he’s after a payday though fair enough.

Managing or playing in China will enhance your profile the same way sitting on a beach would, only difference is you’d be getting paid.

Going to manage in Latvia really would be career suicide or dropping down to league one or two. Its going to take him out of the limelight in the country for a number of years, which actually will help his profile. I see no negatives in this for Chris Coleman, he made a mistake with joining Sunderland - time to press the reset button, a few years away, then come back stronger.
