If he's 'working on fitness', why can't he do that in Slovakia where all the FAW team will be? The travelling, whilst the rest are in the air/recovering Ramsey will be on the grass at Colliers' Park right the way up to Saturday night.

The travelling, whilst the rest are in the air/recovering Ramsey will be on the grass at Colliers' Park right the way up to Saturday night. Thats a long game of 5 a side. The cynic in me is very doubtful, and this is just mind games before the Croatia match. Hope I’m wrong, Its perfectly feasible of course that he actually won't be ready for Croatia either, we'll just have to deal with that if it happens, but we just need to give Ramsey time. Some players bodies can cope with the rigours of 70-90 mins of professional football whilst they work to attain that magical catch-all term of 'match fitness', others can't. Some players react badly to an increase in load as they go from recovery mode to high intensity and they need to have that load increased slowly and incrementally, stopping for a couple days every time they feel a niggle/twinge and allowing it to settle before slowly continuing the increase, playing 20 mins here and a half there. Eventually reaching a stage where their fitness give them the robustness to be able to stand up to the rigours of the game, hand in hand with that comes consistency, longevity and a quicker recovery. Jonny Williams is a case in point, between 2014 and 2018 he only played 60 (club) games in total, averaging about 12 a season. Since having his load managed in the above way by Bowyer he's played 27 times this year alone, his robustness has really come along as so far this season he's recovering quicker from those little knocks. As a result his talent and good form is now finally being allowed to come through. With Aaron, we're talking about a guy here who's nowhere near as bad as Jonny, but has been horrendously mismanaged fitness-wise for over a decade at club level. If there was ever a straight choice between not taking risks or playing him, Ramsey almost always found himself out on the grass...then usually back in the treatment room for weeks! He's now finally at a club that treats him the same way Wales does, no risks, just a consistent approach. I think that once he does reach full fitness in Turin we'll see a more consistently available player. Its just early in the season and reaching that peak will take a few more weeks.

It's just unbelievably bad luck when you think about it. He gets to sunday without any problems, is rested and STILL manages to pick up an injury at half time.

Apparently he was pinging long balls at half time and felt it go.

Some italian tweets saying Ramsey has recovered from his adductor injury and should be available against Bologna:

So he was fit to start against Inter and injured himself at half time?
Hmm.....

It’s strange how the Italian press know Ramsey’s fitness, when he’s meant to be in Wales? Wonder if he’s back in Turin already, like I predicted.

Sgorio reporting Ramsey trained today, we live in hope: Undoubtedly he'll feel a slight twinge and be ruled out, ready for action against Bologna.

You're probably right Robin. I don't understand how some Italian tweets were saying Ramsey will be ready for Bologna, yet Giggs said they are still waiting for him to 'prove fitness'. Giggs also mentioned they can 'plug Ramsey gap if needed'. Something really strange going on here.

Even if he does play, 45 minutes of being run ragged by Modric & Rakitic will probably make him end his international career.

Someone needs to provide a balance to the constant happy clapping on here. Fair play for having a positive outlook, but it seems most people on here, yourself included, are still stuck in 2016; thinking we're an amazing possession-based side, blessed with such talented individuals who've just had a run of bad luck. Russia was probably the only game I've ever seen us play as described by most experts on here. The truth is we've always been a bang average team, relying on individual moments of magic to get by and riding a huge wave of luck. Every game this campaign, we've always looked like a team under pressure and hanging on, likely to bow down at the slightest attack. I'll watch tomorrow night as I always have done, but it won't be pleasant viewing in the slightest. Dry your eyes now, sunshine.

Needs to retire and stop being a waste of squad space, unless he can paint portraits, play the banjo or something. It's not like calling him up is a psychological weapon against our opponents when they'll know he's crocked. Get Lee Evans in as Ampadu isn't mature/experienced enough to carry midfield alongside Allen, and start blooding Levitt to be the new Rambo. Let's start moving on.

If he makes it onto the pitch against Bologna, he can seriously fuck off, as can the FAW for not having any backbone.

Retire is a bit much, but maybe some will start to appreciate why I long ago stopped placing any faith in him, at least in so far as Wales goes.
Let's be brutally honest, bar the Euro finals his Wales career has been nothing to write home about. If we qualify I'll even feel somewhat sad for the players who got us there who will have to drop out to accommodate Ramsey at the finals- you absolutely know he will be fit for that.

He's 28 not 35. Ridiculous overreaction.
Getting rid of Ramsey to blood someone who's never played a first team fixture may well be one of the stupidest ideas I've ever come across

Honestly, if we sneak a draw tonight, I'll be very very happy given the circumstances.
As things stand, I'm not hopeful of a favourable result.
