Didn't think that the Arsenal had it in em, to win the Aaron Ramsey cup, without the maestro.
Well done, Obama Yang ;-)

Sarri has been sacked...
Edit: ...and replaced by Pirlo (?)

Seems odd to be to sack Sarri - presumably because he didn't win the Champions League - a crazy criteria to have IMO. Winning the Champions League involves a lot of luck.
I know they weren't brilliant in the league but they still won it - and I'd have thought Sarri would have been given 1 more year to hone his style & build - but I guess in the end he just wasn't a good fit.
Who knows what Pirlo could bring - certainly a great tactician as a player but seems a bit of a risk to me

Pirlo will ensure Ramsey will be ready to face Italy next June. And he’s going to do that by making sure Ramsey has a year off it seems- according to the Mirror he’s free to find a new club and Pirlo’s only been in the job two days! I wasn’t too far off so far with my prediction that Ramsey wouldn’t make it at Juve. Won a championship as expected but struggled to hold down a starting place and played a bit part in the crucial CL tie against Lyon. I still imagine he’ll be there next season, his current wage will have priced him out of a move, just like Bale and I suspect his future at Juve looks about as promising as Bale’s at Madrid and all... As an aside in some ways these clubs need to learn a lesson about handing out long contracts on ridiculous wages for players who might fall out of favour due to a change in manager. It seems that they honestly expect to give a player a wage they won’t get anywhere else and then expect them to politely do one when they fall out of favour with a few years to run. So whilst it’s not exactly ambitious fair play to Bale for holding Real to their contract and if it comes to it then the same to Ramsey.

I think that’s a very different situation – Bale was brought in as a superstar with views of filling Ronaldo’s boots in the future. Juve picked up Rambo as a free agent who was seen as a low risk / high reward option. He’s been a squad player this season (being his first season outside of the PL or Championship) and his season is far from a disaster. I don’t think the Mirror has an insight into the inner workings of Pirlo’s mind when he’s only just been appointed and all they want to do is fill their gossip columns .

Yes, not a disaster, but that’s the way you would look at it if you signed a rookie who was a speculative but fairly trivial addition to the squad. Ramsey is the fifth highest paid player in the world and so for him to spend a season in and out of the team and not really get a chance in the two biggest games of the season in the CL knockouts is very far from success. I guess the question for Juve is how much of their wage budget is Ramsey using up? If Pirlo is struggling to fund the new signings he wants then Ramsey’s massive wage will end up holding them back whilst not providing repayment on the pitch (so far). Although, it could be argued I guess that Ramsey’s influence in the game vs Inter was fairly crucial seeing to them winning the league as Juve took their foot off the gas and allowed Inter to finish just a point behind!

I think the Mirror are usually full of shit tbh, if that's the source of this rumour I certainly wouldn't take it as gospel. It's just the story that is going to generate the most traffic, fresh off the news that Pirlo has taken over as manager. I'm not sure he'd have made that decision yet.

I expect him to stay - from Juve's perspective he was a free agent signing so they saved a fortune on transfer fees. Would imagine it was part of at least a 2/3 year plan (Rambo's wages for 2/3 years vs paying millions for another squad player plus his wages).
Like you say, they might find it difficult to offload him as his wages are high - better to keep him in the squad for another season and hope he performs then cash in if he does.

It's nice feel-good propaganda, but I can't believe Ramsey is on the big bucks with Mbappe, Neymar, De Bruyne, Hazard etc. when he spends two-thirds of every season crocked.

Who’s in charge of his twitter account? Just tweeted ‘a good weeks work’ with a picture of him training. I don’t know.

Played for Juventus against their U21s today apparently, source website Football Italia. This is pretty poor really, and should be addressed properly. He's meant to be one of our senior figures now. Does it not send a bad message to the team that certain players can do as they wish? Bale is arguably not fit either, so he didn't have to turn up really did he?

To be fair he is trying to impress a new club manager and play for Juventus which can only be good for Wales moving on - friendlies are better for his fitness as well if he isn't 100% fit.

Who knows, all we know of is rag top rumours and his management saying it’s all complete bollocks and he’s going nowhere. Pirlo however has revealed those not in his plans, Ramsey wasn’t one of those. So far at least it looks like he’s getting a second season.

Playing against their U21s doesn't sound as taxing as playing in a senior competitive international game(s).
If it was a competitive match against Inter Milan, then I would have a raised eyebrow.
