Crafting the goal with a cheeky back heel for Morata to score ;-) No, not having that. You think he's trying to help his team win?!? It was blatantly obvious what he was actually up to, drawing players in with his guile and craft and releasing the ball early throughout...he was trying to get himself injured so he doesn't have to turn up for us next month! Just you watch, he'll keep this up all month now to impress Pirlo and keep himself in the squad to increase his chances of injury. Everyone with be gushing online and praise him for "playing well" and "making himself invaluable to Juve" but we all know what he's really up to. Bloody uncommitted part-timer!

He looks really sharp based on these highlights: youtu.be/HEYSK8cwQIISome of the comments as follows "No one gunna talk about how underrated Ramsey is?" "How good was Ramsey tonight? Always been such an underrated midfielder" "No one is talking about how good Ramsey was" There's a few more just simply stating that he put in a great performance too

Its early enough in Serie A of course but I do hope they pick up their league form, I want Pirlo to do well and have a good run there as Ramsey seems to be his his cup of tea and he's being looked after right after years of Arsenal neglect. The longer Pirlo stays I think the better it is for Ramsey and us.

The longer Pirlo stays I think the better it is for Ramsey and us. Agreed - he's just the type of player that I feel the Italians would appreciate and understand with his unique qualities too Pirlo quoted as saying this last night "What I wanted was to have many players going into attack. Chiesa can play on either flank, Kulusevski or Aaron Ramsey can play as a trequartista behind a striker". I know trequartista can be seen as one of these hipster terms, but in Italy they do use it regularly. An example of a trequartista would be Totti - someone who drops deeper than a striker to pick up the ball and is more creative than a typical 9, but also gets more goals than a no.10. Trequartista's are also usually quite languid without much defensive responsibility This is why it interests me that Pirlo has used this term to relate to Ramsey as he isn't in the mold of a typical trequartista. His defensive work is much greater than a Totti but at the moment he's getting less goals than Totti would. I think that Pirlo does see his goalscoring potential though. If Rambo can get near 10 goals over the course of the season, with his current defensive work rate he will really become one of the most unique players in world football If he can get off the mark soon, I know he goes through purple patches in regards to his goalscoring form. I can see him really elevating his standing in world football too if Juve can win the league and go far in the Champions League too

Flippin' loves a backheel does our Aaron I remember him doing that twice in Bordeaux in the first half! I was in the VIP stand, about ten rows up from the touchline. Him and Bale were having a ball of a time ... wall to wall smiles ... while I was bricking it ...

For those who didn't get to watch Ramsey against Dinamo Kyiv earlier in the week
Juve are in action again tonight at 19:45

I see that Aaron is playing tonight in the Ryan Hedges position. He hasn't quite got Ryan's end product, but hopefully he will improve in the next two weeks.

Extremely poor first half from Juve. Rambo hasn't been brilliant with the Juve players all on different wavelengths for some reason, but he's been involved in their best moments.

Huge game tonight for our boy. Barcelona in the Champions League, whilst they’ll be missing Ronaldo through COVID-19. There will be extra emphasis on his to be a creator with Dybala also possibly missing out. Chiellini & De Ligt are also out so their defence won’t be first choice. Will be a great test for Ramsey up against a European powerhouse - a big performance and possibly world football will sit up and take a bit more notice of him, especially if he stands out whilst sharing a pitch with Messi

Didn't have one of his better games over the weekend and he's been left out of the starting lineup tonight as a result. A bit harsh as he was no worse than others in what was a really poor team performance, I'd even go as far to say he was one o their better players.

I don't think it's necessarily a case of him being dropped, they know he's got a long history of muscle injuries and perhaps they're looking to manage his minutes with them having three games this week.

I highly doubt they would drop him in what is undoubtedly their biggest game in order to manage his fitness. Thinking it's anything other than a tactical decision is just wishful thinking

Barcelona and Juventus are competing for first and second in their group, it isn't that big a deal in comparison to Serie A where they're currently struggling. The question is whether he can start four games in ten days after coming back from injury, and if he can't then he was going to have to be sub at some stage. I'm not certain, but it's one of those where you can't be a hundred percent sure at this stage, especially if he was one of their best performers on the weekend.

It is a bit different though, as Ronaldo hasn't had anywhere near the history of injuries that Ramsey's had in his career. I'd be surprised if Ramsey wasn't straight back in the starting line up on Sunday.

No spring chicken and also plays every game for his country so needs managing as much as a younger player with an injury record.

Lets not fool ourselves. Its their biggest match of the season and Ramsey in on the bench.
I can not believe that people use excuses that Ramsey is being rested! I am surprised given how regularly he has played this season but facts are facts!

Juve couldn’t score if they were out there all night. That starting XI is a dog of a team

Ronaldo isn't normal, and has played 3 games in a week throughout his career without any problems. Now he's older, he tends to cover less distance per game then he used to, but he's never had an injury issues due to overplaying. Ramsey has done, routinely, and I think four games in ten days for him would definitely be seen as pushing it, regardless of whether he deserved to start or not.

I am surprised given how regularly he has played this season but facts are facts! I don't need to be putting in excuses for Ramsey, he's more than proven himself as a player, it's just definitely something to note. If he had started Tuesday, Saturday, Wednesday, Sunday, immediately after an injury people would be concerned about him picking up another injury, and rightly so. As for it being their biggest game of the season, it just isn't. They're going to qualify comfortably, even though they've lost tonight.

Tbf he was definitely being rested - I hadn't realised he'd played 3 games in such a short space of time. He's never ever played that many games in a row for Juve and for good reason - they saw what happened to him when he was overplayed at Arsenal. Hence why he didn't make it off the bench today despite being starter nearly every time he's been available so far this season

Don't know if Ramsay is playing but juve are live at 13:55 today on FreeSports channel 422 On the bench. Yep, which just goes to show how ridiculous the suggestions he was being rested against Barca were. I'm not too concerned, he'll get plenty of other opportunities and I'm confident in his ability. But can we stop kidding ourselves when he gets dropped from now on?
