Watch him have the game of his life against us in the qualifiers now! That Modric is world class, I've never seen him have a bad game ever.

Subbed on the hour mark vs Norwich. He looked absolutely knackered. It's so, so important he gives the olympic bollocks a miss this summer.

Perhaps that may explain why I heard he was lucky not to get red carded? But I do agree. I hope he is involved against Mexico least for a half or, an hour then has a complete rest until Pre Season with Arsenal in July and not playing for Terry McCann's lot.

Are we still too expectant of Ramsey? He's still only 21. We wouldn't expect Allen to be able to run the Swansea midfield so why does everyone expect Ramsey to not only run the Arsenal midfield but also to be the new Fabregas.
Utd had to bring Scholes out of retirement rather than rely on kids to do the job.

I don't expect much from him at all, the night of the injury all expectations were removed. I DID expect him to run Arsenal's midfield for the next 10 years and be better than Fabregas.
Just looking ahead to next season now, hopefully his bad run will result in him not being chosen by that made up team and I'd be fine if he missed the Wales game.

Quick quiz question: Name all of the midfielders, aged 21 or under, with 100+ appearances for a team who have reached the champions league knockout stage in each of the past 4 seasons?

Theres been so much moaning about his form, so I just think its worth pointing out that a 21 year old Welshman has played 44 times this season for the team who finished 3rd in the EPL and reached the round of 16 in the champions league. That's a fantastic achievement.
In fact- Giggs aside- when was the last time a Welsh player made such a significant contribution to a team finishing so high up the EPL table? Bellamy and Speed at Newcastle a decade ago perhaps?

No-one moaned about his form, we completely understand why he's not been playing as we thought he would be at this stage. He had something like 1 goal & 5 assists in the premier league at one point in November and he finished the season with 2 goals & 6 assists. So that's 1 goal & 1 assist in 5/6 months of premier league football. He had a great first few months, but by no means did he have a great season. I can't wait to see him have an amazing season after the euros though !

On the face of flynnfan yes but when you consider rambo was in the side in the dismal beginning of the season, played a bit part in their revival and returned to their stuttering finish then not quite so good unfortunately - his performance at home to Chelsea was his best moment - he has had good moments but not nearly as much as when promised before the leg break.
I think he definitely needs a rest - get to the beach, tell triffic to fuck off and own the belgians in September.

Rambo played 34 out of 38 league games for the team that finished 3rd. Ok, he only scored 2 league goals, but to put some context with this, Wilshere won young player of the year last season after playing 35 times for the team that finished 4th and he scoring 1 goal. And he had Fabregas and Nasri alongside him.

Maybe he made 34 appearances including including the times he came off the bench

He started in 27 of those 34 appearances: www.arsenal.com/first-team/players/aaron-ramseyAnd still nobody has answered my quiz question: Name all the midfielders, aged 21 or younger, with 100+ appearances for a team who has reached the champions league knockout stage in each of the past 4 seasons?

Not sure what the relevance of the question is, he didn't play any champions league games in 2010/2011 and started one game the year before, what are you getting at?

What I'm 'getting at' is that Arsenal are an elite club. Only Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Lyon, AC Milan, Inter Milan and Chelsea have also reached the champions league knockout stage in each of the past 4 seasons. Name all the players (scrap the midfielder bit..) aged 21 or younger with more than 100 appearences for those elite clubs?

Not sure i have the time or energy to check that many players stats tbh! Ramsey has deserved his 100 appearances as he has always been a promising talent since he joined Arsenal. People haven't been debating his talent for the last four seasons, they have simply been saying he hasn't played too great this season. I personally have always thought he was a major talent and a future welsh great, this season after watching him week in week out some doubts have crept in, but they are only doubts and I have to be realistic. I believe he will come good again next season, but that doesn't change the fact that I am a little worried as if he is to be our captain, he needs to be one of the first names on the sheet, and to do that he needs to up his game next season and not make so many mistakes.

Knee jerk reaction based on tonight's game. Lets blame the captain! Hes been crap for a while now- you seem to be absolving him of any blame yet you have it in buckets for Coleman? Is it Coleman's fault one of our key players hasn't got the ability to pass the ball 5 yards?

Knee jerk reaction based on tonight's game. Lets blame the captain! I've not read a single post blaming Ramsey for the loss. It has been a recurring theme on this board for over a year that he isn't the right choice. His body language tonight makes it a perfectly valid topic to raise again

Has played very well for Arsenal out wide on the right against Manchester City so far, he's been one of Arsenal's best players! I'd like to put him wide for us in a 4-3-3 formation. Joe Allen played very well too earlier today. Something like this. Ledley or Collison if not fit!
---------------Pricey----------------- Eardley Ricketts Williams Matthews ------Collison-Allen-Vaughan------- ---Ramsey---Bellamy-----Bale------
C'mon Cymru!

I never saw the game, but I saw him play on the right for Team GB a 2 or 3 times, and I thought he was more impressive there than he has been in the centre. Its weird, he doesn't strike me as a winger in terms of his attributes but it just seems to work when he plays there. We should definitely consider playing him there for Wales, its viable option. I hope Coleman watched the game today.

We are so desperate for cover out wide when bellers/bale are out that this is a great shout. We also (in theory) have options in the centre mid, so again this could be good for us.
Only worry is: who is play maker in the middle?
