Thought he played well, shame he didn't take that chance could of made a massive difference for him. He needs to see where things are at the start of next season before deciding on any possible move.

His lovely footwork drew the foul that led to the Arsenal goal, and generally he looked lively. One storming forward run dispelled any notions that he's lost his pace. So, a decent performance at least, but didn't stop on 5 live caller totally rubbishing him, and, surprise, surprise, praising Wiltshere. A season-long loan away from Arsenal would do him a World of good. I'd have him at Swansea any day.

I caught someone on 6-0-6 refer to Cazorla being played out of position on the left. Why is Wenger playing central players wide? Ramsey has been the victim of this previously

But guess who's getting the majority of the blame for that defeat?

So Arsenal beat Bayern away 0-2 last night with Ramsey (for 70 mins) and without Wilshere.
i know at that level (and without Schweinsteiger) psyche and mentality have a lot to do with Bayern's performance in so far as they didn't quite know how to approach the game.
Nonetheless, it was a perfectly timed run from Ramsey that was instrumental in setting up the opening goal on 3 mins that put Bayern on the back foot and made them approach the game more cautiously.
His tackling has much more bite now (more like his pre injury tackling) and while he misplaced a couple of simple looking passes his energy and ground coverage from box to box was unbelievably good.
When he does finally get going and get the breaks he deserves, it looked last night that he could reach the heights that we once anticipated. Still not there yet but its coming.
Still some Arsenal fans can't see it though. How they can slag off a 22 year old British player who plays a significant part in a 0-2 win in Munich from central midfield really is baffling.

The Time gave him 4 out of 10! What I thought he was a 7, maybe a 6. But 4 is ridiculous.

Just be honest people. He has been mediocre all season. He isn't playing well enough to play for a top 5 team, yet he still is - Arsenal fans are right to be unhappy. None of his performances this season warrant anything more than a 7, it tells you everything.

Lets not forget that Arsenal got further in the champions league than Chelsea or Man City. And were knocked out at the same stage as Man Utd.

He was awful last night from what I saw- the biggest nause up was when he was played into a good position just outside the Bayern area and he passes it straight to Robben when there was no Arsenal player near, so it was unfathomable who he was actually supposed to be passing it to. That allowed Robben a clear run at Arsenal and Rosicky had to take him out and earn a booking. So his crap pass resulted in a booking for his side.
I'm sorry, but doing stuff like that no wonder he is not popular. And on the whole, he was so poor that on that evidence I don't even think he deserves a starting place for Wales- if Collison is in form he has to be a better option than a player who is shot to bits. At the moment Ramsey is a sympathy pick, put him in the side in the hope that he finds his form against the Jocks. But we don't have the luxury of carrying players, God knows Bale has to do enough of the work as it is.

WTF after Bale and Williams (due to lack of options), Ramsey would be my next player inked in.
I thought he has done well against a good Spurs and Bayern team, yes he misplaces passes but the guy never stops wanting the ball. The guy just needs to have a little bit of luck or a wonder strike and the extra confidence will come flowing back.
Wales are lucky to have such a talented young player and I can't remember many welsh players with as much experience at the age of 22 (especially having lost a long spell)

Let's be honest, i thought all the Arsenal team passed it badly against Bayern. Ramsey by no means the worst player on the pitch

I can't help but think that your perceptions of him and his performance the other night are coloured by the fact he is Welsh. Had Wilshere or whoever put in that sort of performance I think you would all be putting the boot in.
I'm not saying he's a bad player, just not impressed with his form the other night and in the Spurs game. So much so that I don't think hes an automatic pick for Wales, especially considering midfield is our most competitive area. I think picking him would be done more in hope that he might recapture some of his spark rather than in any confidence that he will produce the goods and put the Jocks to the sword. Can we afford to take that sort of punt?

Definitely not worth risking ramsey against scotland storm...we badly need the points....let's put crofts or vaughan in and stick rambo on the bench.

I presume that's irony Baresi.
Talk of Ramsey on the bench is deluded madness.
Deluded because to think that we have better players than him is crazed. Even in mediocre form, he is one of our top three midfielders. He is one of just three of our players who play in a top six premiership team. We don't really have any choice but to keep the faith with him.

Anyone who doesn't think Ramsey is one of our best three central midfielders is fucking mental. If he is then I'm sorry, but at this point in time that says more about our lack of options than it does about the form he is in. I repeat: if he was English he would be written off as average, like everyone seems to do with Wilshere. Personally I would be tempted by a midfield 3 of Allen, Collison and Vaughan/Crofts
