Arsenal have rejected a loan extention. Billy must be happy with him to want to extend it and Arsene must be happy to want him back

Wenger reckons he's another 2 months away from being properly match fit. Think it's a bit unfair for everyone to expect Ramsey to be instantly brilliant again. We won't see the best of him until next season.
One good thing, though. I listened to a Forest game on the radio and Ramsey got absolutely clattered by somebody or other. Ramsey just got up and got on with it while the other guy got booked. Hopefully that demonstrates that psychologically he hasn't been adversely affected by the leg break.

'A good player is one who makes you win matches. Everything else is irrelevant' - Arsene Wenger.
I only saw very brief highlights of Ramsey on loan at Forest, so I'll have to take a more objective view, and look mainly at the results. He started two games, both of which Forest won. He played in Forest's biggest win over their fiercest rivals for over 100 years (they've got a DVD out already!). He came on with his team 2-0 down and helped salvage a draw to keep Forest's long unbeaten home run going. I think the only game Forest lost whilst he was there was against Leceister when Andy King scored, and that was his first game back after over 9 months out.
Looks to me like that loan spell has worked out very well for all parties. Good luck back at Arsenal Rambo.

Shame he wasn't even on the bench last night. I think it's good long term though (for us) that Wenger has had recent experience of rushing Diaby and Eduardo back too soon. He's taking it steady with Ramsey which is fine by me.

Same here climeri. I was disppointed at first he wasn't even in the squad last night, but then I thought it's a good thing he's not being rushed back. I've got a feeling Wenger wants to bring him on at the emirates, rather than away from home for his Arsenal comeback. Possibly against Wigan this Saturday if Arsenal are winning by more than one goal with about 15 minutes to go?

Gabbi is coming too by all accounts. If both are true, is this enough Welsh players in a squad for some of you? haha
Gabbi Bellamy Ramsey Matthews Blake Koumas

Nice one cardiff
Bellers and Ramsey - not yours
Gabbs and Koumas - retired
Matthews - never picked
Blake - simply not good enough (barely championship standard)

Left Jarvis and Meades out because they're so young. I keep reading on here that we don't have enough Welsh players playing for us

Thought he had a good game today, first time iv'e seen him play since last year.. brilliant first touches, still has that classy skill on the ball and gave some class through balls.. especially the through ball to burke. And his lay-off to Bellamy's strike was quality, give him a month or two and he'l be back to his best

Its been taken down now, but there was footage on youtube earlier of about 1 minute of play leading up to the Cardiff goal yesterday. It shows something I didn't realise at the time, but Rambo started the move by knocking a great ball down the line to Bothroyd. Then he sprinted virtually the length of the pitch (in the 85th minute!) to receive Bellamy's lay off, before setting up the shot. Absolutely superb play, fantastic movement, vision and touch. And his fitness is getting there too. Hopefully he'll be back up to speed in time for the England game!

If he ran the length of the pitch in the 85th minute..........then how come hes got a "minor knock"? ;D Unbelievable arent they these footballers.

He's unlucky as he was only called back because arsenal had a spate of injuries in midfield which then cleared up quickly as the best thing would've been for him to get games with Cardiff. He's just a bit off the pace, but hopefully all he needs is a pre-season behind him. Wenger obviously still rates him otherwise he'd still be out on loan.

The thing is arsenal are in a title run in. this is not the time they are going to nurture a young player after a long injury. He will be back
