Love that video. Reminds me of me in my youth. Really shows you where he likes to play - quite deep for the most part.

I have been watching aaron ramsey quite a bit in pre season for arsenal and I have to admit I really dont think he is going to be the player he wouldve been if he hadnt of gotten injured. i think he is going to be a decent premiership player at best unfortunately. Cant see him ever setting the world alight as once predicted. Anyone else agree?

Iv'e always thought bale would set the world alight more than ramsey, however iv'e always thought they would be 2 world class players
and i still think the same with ramsey, man of the match against manchester united was enough to convince me
he's still got it but only time will tell

I just cant see him ever being world class, hope I am wrong. World Class is a massive difference to being a good player. Only midfielders i consider world class in midfield are for example Xavi, Iniesta, Sneijder, De rossi etc and I just cant see him ever being that good. I think we have all gotten a bit carried away over the lad to be honest.

Ramsey will be world class, and he'll bring more to the Wales team than Bale will..even though Bale is a massive player for us. i'll bet you any money Ramsey will be back to his best around september/october.

Not slagging the lad off or nothing but I think we expect too much of him. Hope he goes onto to be the player that alot of welsh fans think he will turn into but I am sceptical to say the least.

i could understand if you was on about ledley or collison they are good players but more workhorses but ramsey is gifted and has all the tools to reach the top

I really hate the "world class" saying that gets attributed to practically every footballer whose ever shown any glimmer of talent. To me world class means exactly what you've said, the best in the world. Would Ramsey get into a world XI or a world squad, no. But I doubt any player on this rock would either. Best case scenario is that Fabregas goes to Barca and Ramsey gets some serious game time this season. I don't think we've gotten carried away with him. He's clearly our best player and the guy our team needs to be built around. Whether he ever becomes world class is academic.

Only seen him in the game against Malaysia and he looked very good. Scored a penalty and played an amazing ball to set up another goal. Ramsey is clearly mentally tough and has already broke back into the arsenal starting 11. Think Rambo will be a top class player. Injury is old news

The way he played against Manu in the second half of last season gave us a brilliant insight in to what he can give you when given a opportunity by Wenger. If Fabregas goes, Ramsey plays in week in week out, Wenger shall get a lot in return, ask Cardiff supporters [all of them on here would agree], they know how instrumental he was there on loan whilst he was playing regularly!

You're making long-term assessments about a player based on early pre-season performances? Can I play this game as well: alternativewales saw Kurtis Much have a great game against Port Talbot the other day so I'll stick my neck out and say he's a future European Golden Boot winner for sure

great title.
anyway. muaythai started a thread a few weeks ago talking about how ramsey's potential has gone due to the leg break and how he thinks ramsey doesnt look like the same player anymore.
poo for wales, own goal today and it was his fault he lost the player he was marking initially, wtf is going on? man of the match against united in may looked like the leg break wouldnt effect him that much.
too much pressure as captain of wales? too much pressure with fabregas gone?

watched the game and thought Ramsey played well. Van Persie, Arshavin and Walcott were poor, but that's not the story the media want to spin here. I actually think Wengers lack of activity in the transfer market is the problem for Ramsey- he's surrounded by players who don't ant to be there or who aren't yet good enough.

Non-story.
Own goal? Irrelevant.
Marking? Irrelevant, he's an offensive midfielder. He's 20.
Ramsey, by all accounts, was very good against Udinese. He made an assist in a 1-0 win.

Hmm, the marking is relevant. The issue I have with him is that he doesn't seem to be dynamic enough. No big sprints and tackles for example, a bit like koumas I think. I didn't see enough of him pre injury to compare so that may just be his style and it may be better to compare him to fabregas actually and not koumas. Anyway I don't think the own goal is relevant, and he'll still be an exceptional prem player, it's whether he'll kick on to dominate big European games.
