He had a good game! linked up well with Dybala. Off after about 65 minutes, good to see them looking after him properly.

I only watched the second half until he was subbed, but he was really good in possession.
With Juventus playing 2 strikers and basically 4 central midfielders, it was really tight in the middle. Ramsey played one touch almost every time the ball went to him, and I think I saw him lose possession once in a tight area.
His good runs were often overlooked by Khedira and Rabiot. Rabiot in comparison to Ramsey often took 3 or 4 touches to get the ball under, and then passed it backwards.
For all Juve's quality, Rambo was definitely the brightest and most energetic of their midfielders, looked the sharpest in possession too.
He linked up best with Dybala, Higuain seems to have an ego issue.

He was far sharper on the ball than Khedira, Rabiot and Higuin (who was miles off the pace). Pjanic was class as always.

They lack wide players and the wide players they do have were injured yesterday other than Cuadrado. I think the plan was for the strikers to run out wide to create space in the middle but didn't see much of that. I think Ramsey's best performances this season will come with Ronaldo in the team.

Bernadeschi is a cracking wide player, Sarri has said that he sees him as a central player in the future though!

According to this (if Google translate has worked correctly), Ramsey has impressed Sarri so much in his two appearances that Sarri will insist on using 4-3-1-2 to accommodate him.
I particularly like this this gem:

If true, that would be high praise indeed. Ronaldo might not like that! 🙊

Some absolutely glowing praise for Rambo from Juve fans on social media. He really looks like he's going to be one of their most important players, glad he's already being appreciated.

I’ll hold my hand up that after they signed Rabiot, he might have a struggle holding down a first team place....
...but even so this isn’t even the start of the acid test. Juve know they can win the league with or without him. The big one for them is the CL. So effectively Ramsey’s worth as a signing comes down to (potentially) 7 fixtures in the back end of the season. Will he make a difference then?
My personal feeling is Juve are quarter finalists, nothing more than that.

Now, now Robin, at least have the courtesy of owning up to your ill-judged views, particularly when they were all about rubbishing our second best player. Two weeks ago you were pretty confident that he wouldn't make the first team outside cups. Now you've been made to look a bit silly, you're shifting the goalposts to 'he'll never sustain it'. Strange for a supposed Welsh fan to take such a view on a key player who's earning rave reviews for one of the top 5 clubs in the world. Just for your benefit, here's a reminder of your last couple of posts (I had to go back a couple of pages as you went a bit quiet these past couple of weeks for some reason): 'Well, I think it's pretty obvious he's not going to be a starter at Juve. Even if he is fit, consistency has always been an issue with Aaron and unlike a feckless Arsenal, I'd expect Juventus to be ruthless in their selection policy. ' 'Unless they're rotating every few games, it's hard to see Aaron starting outside of cup matches and lesser games. I strongly suspect he'll be making most his appearances from the bench or if there are injuries - and that's if he's not injured himself or horribly out of form '

I didn't know we set the bar so low you could crawl over it. Giants of the Italian game Hellas Verona, Brescia & SPAL were blindsided by his sheer brilliance, then he had a cracking whole 3 minutes vs. Atletico Madrid. Ramsey's inconsistency for Arsenal was incredibly frustrating, and barring the run up to 2016 he hasn't delivered nearly enough over the course of his career to merit the fetishism on here for him. If he nails down a regular place and plays 20+ games for Juventus, I'll hold my hands up and say I was wrong, but I can't imagine his consistency has improved much over the past few months. I support Wales, but I won't defend our players to the death when it's obvious they're not cutting the mustard. Some on here thought it was a good idea to take Simon Church to France ffs.

And he was right to take Church to France. Yeah, taking a striker who couldn't score goals on the plane to France was 100% a good decision. Give your head a wobble. We should have taken Bradshaw, bringing Church on vs. Portugal was an indication we had no desire to win the game.

Church actually did a lot for Welsh football, anyone that has a bit of understanding will know that.

In the season before Euro 2016, Bradshaw scored 17 times in League One. In the same time, Church (whom you believe to be superior) was loaned out by MK Dons to Aberdeen (wonder why?) and scored 8 all season. Again, give your head a wobble. Bradshaw might not be your favourite, but Church isn't fit to lace his boots.

Regardless, an amputated Bradshaw would still be more potent up front than Church. 3 goals in nearly 40 appearances? Keep singing the praises of useless footballers and we'll remain shit forever.
