He’s boring me with these goals now, I want to see them from the halfway line instead

Limped off after 74'. Had a little treatment first - could be just muscle fatigue. Was superb even in the second half, while they were up against it.

25-30 yarder Bit of a deflection? I've seen it from behind the goal. Big deflection.

Good day for Welsh football with Bale outrunning those Celta defenders to bag an assist for Benzema and Harry bagging a goal for the Cherries. When Brooksy returns, I hope they will build a great on-field partnership that could stand them in good stead for Wales in the coming years. They could develop a strategy that complements each of them well.

James LW - Wilson FW - Bale RW in a front three?
Bale LW - James FW - Wilson RW maybe?

Ugh, not doing enough for me. He's only just gone and scored a pearler vs. City.
Has to work much much harder before Giggs should look at him.

Must have seen this about ten times, and it gets better each time
I certainly hope that he is not too shy to tell Gareth "this is mine, Sir" ;-)

What a hit. How many free kicks has he scored now? Bale is gonna have to step aside and let Wilson take them from now on.

I saw teams from here with Wilson on the bench and Vokes starting. Unbelievable Jeff! Not at all. It will probably be Bale up for t so Vokes wont play but for this game I would be happy to see James and Bale wide with Vokes central. Wont mind if its Wilson James and Bale

I saw teams from here with Wilson on the bench and Vokes starting. Unbelievable Jeff! Remember that sitter Vokes missed out in Albania. No disrespect but I'd honestly have heart failure if I saw Vokes start a week on Friday. He might still be a viable bench option but I wouldn't risk him as a starter.

So he was pretty bad vs Leicester, tbh; in the sense that he came off on 60 minutes having had basically no impact on the game whatsoever. If his aim is to try and be in a team like Liverpool's plans, he's going to need to be less passive and add a bit more to his overall game IMO. Was a mostly terrible team performance second half anyway, so it's not entirely down to him.

Against Ireland away, he did absolutely nothing for 50 mins, then scored the winning free kick. Like you say, I do find him far to anonymous in games, which is why I still wouldn't start him - I'd prefer someone like Tom Lawrence or Brooks, if fit. Still, got goal of the week on MOTD 2, so that's another positive!

Yeah that probably matches what I've seen of him so far; played really well against Villa and scored, played ok vs City and got that goal, but then didn't really bring much to the table for Leicester. When he IS involved he does all the right things; passing and movement in particular is very impressive, and obviously at this stage its fair to say that hes a generational talent with his set pieces. Just needs to go up another gear to be a top top player. Looking forward to seeing how he progresses.

Here's hoping a season in the Prem under Howe does the trick!
