Am I misremembering or didn’t he even admit in his post match interview that there was luck involved? With the second he implied as much, which isn't surprising given it went in off his shoulder. The first one seemed luckier to be honest! From watching the bbc interview with him it sounds like he was trying to get it on goal but had the general intent of just putting something on a plate for a team mate. So he wasn’t hitting it thinking “I’m putting this in”. Conjecture about whether he meant what he did aside, good for him. Nice to see him making headlines. He seems to have fallen by the wayside a bit at club level recently, like a number of our players. Unfortunately such is life that it will probably take more than a one-off sub appearance to get back in the team with Silva in charge. His long term future is probably elsewhere.

Hope he moves on and finds a club that appreciates his talents / what he brings
Its not like those alternatives are elite and they should not be immune from being rotated or be undroppable

He's on the bench because Smith-Rowe and Iwobi have done very well for them this season. So long as he's getting action and getting involved and playing well than its no problem for Wales.

On the bench yet again! You’d be pissed wouldn’t you Called it. That’s how the game goes at the top level these days. His goal today probably won’t make much difference either. Silva just doesn’t seem to rate him at the moment.

If their manager can get our Harry to score in ten minutes of play every game - he must be a total genius. I'd love to see Harris and Koumas run the turks rugged and for Harry and Moore to come on after 65 minutes and socre two ;-)

How is Koumas doing now? He seemed to be taking off and then had a couple of goals and assists in his first two games for Stoke but not seem to have done much since?

Stoke were really struggling, and that often means managers revert to experienced players. So he hasn't started 2 of the last 3 games, but it'll do him good to improve his consistency. It's all part of adapting to the senior game; going out on loan, learning to deal with setbacks, being in and out of the team and finally ending up as a better player.
