Currently top of the table in the Championship for assists, with 14 so far this season. 2 other Welshmen in the top 10;
Joint 3rd = Sorba with 11
Joint 9th = Brennan with 8
Brennan is also in the top 10 goalscorers in the league too

Nominated for the Championship Player of the Season award alongside Dominic Solanke and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
It's Mitrovic's award, but an achievement for Wilson to have been nominated.

Getting plenty of minutes in - played the full 90 this evening after playing 30mins just yesterday. Fulham lost 5-1 to Benfica, but he was probably the only one to come out of it with some credit. I only watched the second half, but he looked very good and the commentator was full of praise.
Pleasing to see so many Welsh players kicking the season off on-form. Matondo got a really positive response from Rangers fans for his performance yesterday, while the likes of Ampadu, Savage and Luke Harris have done well too.

Benfica looked good, although Fulham's defence were utterly shambolic so it's difficult to tell - they could really concede a few against top sides this year. They made the Ukrainian CF that played against us look like prime Ibrahimovich. No idea about that Argentinian guy sorry, didn't pay close enough attention |

Bad news, rumoured to be out for 7 weeks. Should be back in plenty of time before the world cup, but would have been nice for him to get a better run into it

Yikes, potentially out until the 13th, which would probably mean no gametime before the world cup.
I can't see him playing a meaningful part in the tournament if that's true, I think he's the type of player that needs a run of games behind him (unlike Ledley in 16).
Limits our options significantly. It either forces us to play two sitting midfielders, or means that someone like Tyler Roberts, Joniesta or Colwill will have to step up as the second 8 alongside Ramsey, should we use that system - none of whom are playing well at a decent level this season.

Real shame. He might still make the squad but won't be firing on all cylinders. Big opportunity for someone to stake a claim for his place in the line up over these next two games.

He hasn't played any senior football and unlikely to do so this season, so can't see how he'll get an opportunity to stake a claim. |
