Now that the applications are nearly closed I wonder how many actually applied for tickets? I know we had 14,000 members but how many of them opened up memberships after we had qualified?

2 people I know did not apply. Rest of my group applied for 1 ticket each except for one, so minus 1 overall really. One only applied for our opening game.

I think there may be some surprising results regarding numbers are it won't be the 28,000 that people were fearing

Im afraid the ones that did open a membership after we qualified are unlikely to get tickets due to our low allocation

Applied for a Category 3 FMT ticket. My nephew has not booked the England game. Funny you should say that, because I know another 2 people that are only going to the two games down south. I also noticed that on the general site (open world-wide) they have today re-opened the Category 3 allocation again. Obviously, UEFA feels that the England v Wales game is under-subscribed! Finally, again on the open to all site, the two Russia games now only have Category 1 tickets left - so obviously high demand from a country with 200m population ... I have a feeling I shall be finding a cosy bar in Toulouse ...

Are people not wanting to go to the England game because -
A) it's a lot of travelling (especially if you are based down south) B) Lens is an awfully small place (how they are holding a major event in a place smaller than the stadium is beyond me). C) Potential trouble between fans is off putting ?

The Russia game is just as bad really, if not worse being down south, being Monday night you'd need to take Monday/Tuesday off work at the very least.

I, for one, am really hoping we will finish 2nd in the group and move on to Nice! This gives us the longest possible recovery time and an opportunity to face the 2nd in group F - possibly Austria or Portugal? If we finish 3rd in the group, chances are we play the winner of group C (Germany or Poland) in Lille... If I were CC, I'd aim for second!

I do think the demand won't be as big as most think. It's a long time away, a lot of the bandwagoners will have long forgotten about Welsh football until our next game in March, and being January, casual fan's don't have the expos able income to spend on tickets right now, and are probably balking at the flight and hotel prices.
I'd have exposed all categories for all games to have the extremely high demand label but that is not the case.

However all games in the group category 3 & 4 were showing red, as were those in the knockout rounds until the final where 4 was red. No surprise people, especially casuals/band wagoners, have gone for cheaper options though.

The equivalent to this is Cat 3 so not sure how accurate the above is? Our core vocal support at home is behind the goal so it makes sense to me they have gone for Cat 3 as well. Of all the ones I have spoken to they have all gone for Cat 3 bar one. The one who has not had gone for Cat 2 for the one game to increase his chances (he has been a regular but only a couple of away games over the last 3 campaigns) I'm the end though we are all second guessing!! We will soon know where we all stand....

I,ve been a gold member for every campaign , but my son for only two . So we have both applied for two tickets for four games, hopefully increasing our chances of getting tickets ! If we are successful we have friends who have been going to games but are not members , so will pass on our extra tickets to genuine fans .

Just had a quick look, 25 minutes before final applications are due in... Both the England and the Russia games state "Very Strong Demand" in Cats 3 and 4. The Slovakia game and round of 16 states "Very Strong Demand" in Cat 4 and "Strong Demand" in Cat 3.
I'd say that long term Gold members with away form will easily get Cat 3 tickets (50% of allocation). Home boys like myself should be optimistic about Cat 2 (but I fear UEFA might manipulate me into spending 2000 euro on Cat 1 tickets...).
But hey, to see Rambo and Baley in the Final against Germany - I shall happily pay 600 euro ;-)

No. No demand at all mentioned for Cat 2 or Cat 1, at any stage throughout. Furthermore, for quarters, semis and Final, only "Strong Demand" was stated in Cat 4, so I went for Cat 3 there (with possible upgrades...)

A) and C) for me, combined with my dad not being especially mobile nowadays may still change my mind if i can land a ticket from somewhere but the current plan is to watch games 1 and 3 in the stadium and game 2 on a screen somewhere, i hear the bordeaux fan park has a 50k capacity

UEFA have started to release some info regarding the amount of applications they've received from each nation. Iceland have made 26,985 ticket applications for example which considering the size of their population is a massive number. See below the two very interesting articles from UEFA's website . As has been mentioned here already perhaps the demand for Welsh tickets isn't as high as we thought it would be. It would be really interesting if they released the figures for each nation. These sentences from the articles are quite interesting: "The five teams whose fans submitted the most applications through their dedicated ticket portal are: Poland, France, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland." "The three games in highest demand are: Germany-Poland (Saint-Denis, 16 June), Republic of Ireland-Sweden (Saint-Denis, 13 June) and Portugal-Austria (Paris, 18 June)." www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/news/newsid=2325211.html?rss=2325211+Iceland+fans+flood+to+apply+for+EURO+tickets&utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitterwww.uefa.com/uefaeuro/news/newsid=2324474.html?rss=2324474+Huge+demand+for+UEFA+EURO+2016+tickets+continuesOf course these are only headlines and perhaps Wales is not that far behind Poland, France, Austria, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland. I'm not really sure though and although we have 14000 gold members how many would actually travel in all honesty? I also know of many members that haven't made an application and much prefer to watch it at home.

Would be nice if the FAW would release some figures showing how many people applied for tickets for each game, not sure they will but don't know if I can wait till the end of February to see if I've been lucky or not!! Good luck to all of you who have applied.

Good luck to all of you who have applied. agreed the wait from now on is going to be terrible! but I did email FAW this morning to ask when we will find out. The replied that they did not know an exact date but are hopeful UEFA will have it all wrapped up "early in February"

I think its only us, Belgium and England who operate a membership scheme. That's bound to supress the numbers in relation to the rest who have a free for all. In fact it may even inflate numbers as people submit multiple applications to increase their chance in a ballot.

I am a member and only applied through the general sale as I've only got this qualifying campaign and the Holland game (with no away games) so thought I wouldn't stand a chance.
