Do you know what? I think he has found his feet as an international player hasn't he? He has scored 2 incredible goals for Wales in 4 games and looks much more confident. Shame he had an anonymous day versus Ireland but he is getting more consistent all the time. The greater awareness we have been seeking him to find for Wales is obviously there for Derby. If someone was scoring goals like that 12 years ago we would be over hyping him to the sky - it is only because of Bale we are not! I think maybe he could emerge to be as important as Ramsey, Bale and Allen. I'd say he is a bit like Giggs - he has less innate awareness of others but is a far better finisher. I think he would thrive under Giggs. To think Huws was doing as well as him until he got 2-3 years of continuous injury problems. Hopefully he gets a break (in a positive way!). I heard that he was very highly rated by Giggs when he was at Utd and none to pleased when Van Gaal sold him. Most Utd fans didn't want him to go, Giggs thought highly enough to give him Prem debut, mistake imo as I think staying there he would be far more advanced as a player now. |

By all accounts seemed to have had a decent match.
Hope it isn't an injury as i am looking forward to seeing him in the Aaron Ramsey cup on Friday v United ;-)

Sounds like he had a good game set up both goals and a clearance off the line, hope he’s not injured too as could become a real player injury free an a bit more experience

I think he's only on two goals all season and hasn't scored in around a dozen games. Was big shake up and 6 changes that didn't work. Tom playing well but lacks that finishing touch. Said many times he takes one to many steps in a desperate chance to score. Can see he needs a goal or two to relax more. Bad decision to leave him out and result proves to many changes and 12 game unbeaten run ends. Plus it's February we usually fall apart this time of year 😭😭 |

Interesting stat just popped up during Sky’s coverage of Derby v Leeds...Lawrence has the most assists and chances created for The Rams this season.
Just needs a few more goals and he’d have repaid his transfer fee.
