A mate who is a Rangers fan said before todays game:
"He's doing good mate. Got to either get fitter or slow his game down. Burnt out by 60 minutes. Other than that. Playing well. So was Matondo. Till he got injured. Again!!!!!!"
Lawrence played 85 minutes today as well.

With Brooks and Matondo out, along with the fact that Bellamy has confirmed talks with him, it’s almost certain that he’ll be in the squad announced this week.

He's back from injury but hasn't been given any game time at Bournemouth. Presumably Bellamy will still pick him though.

Are we not still talking about Tom Lawrence in this thread? Who has Bellamy been chatting with... Lawrence (Rangers) or Brooksy (Bournemouth)?

He's scored three goals in 6 games including two winning goals and some very good finishes too, which we know he's more than capable of. Again without meaning to put too much of a downer on things, the comments about him yesterday before he scored were generally negative, people asking why the manager kept on picking him, that he only shows up once every few games etc. (which is how I always thought of his performances for us). So he'll be a useful option, particularly with James out and Brooks' zero gametime, but I'm not convinced he'll offer anything different to what he offered before personally.

There were reports in the press before Bellamy's first squad announcement that he'd been in touch with Lawrence and would be monitoring him, but hadn't picked him at the time because he was just coming back from injury. I haven't seen any media reports about Brooks' situation - I believe he's basically been an unused sub in all of Bournemouth's games

Yeah, it’s important to remember that when he was playing for us before he was a bit inconsistent and often criticised on this site (scroll through this thread for example). Ironically, it was only after he started to be left out of squads that everyone started banging the drum for him. Personally I’ve always liked him and with DJ and Matondo out, plus Brooks not playing, we’d be foolish not to take a chance on him producing one of his bits of magic over the next few games.

Reading this morning that Tom picked up a hamstring injury in last week's game against Lyon so that would negate any chance of a recall for these two games.

Great goal from 20m out. Back to back goals in europa leaugue ... 5th of season.
Should have had an assist earlier, as well ;-0
EDIT Picked up a knock just before the break and didn't come out for the 2nd half :-( I certainly hope that its just a precusion, as they were 2-0 up already.

Sadly, Tom not even in the squad today ;-( Probably no chance now of seeing him this year in Cymru colours.

For any other romantics out there, that were still optimistic after seeing Tom start today v Motherwell ...
Sadly, once again he hobbles off (after 36') with the same knee problem.
Can't possibly imagine him in red this year ;-((
