Two top class strikes for Carlisle today. He's 19 and hopefully he develops and becomes the top striker we badly need. His goals are around the 53min mark: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03mnpd3/The_Football_League_Show_2013_2014_14_12_2013He was born in Wrexham - do England have a claim on him? Is he passionate about Wales. As we know - loyalties can go either way at the border towns - Mark Hughes (Wales) vs Rob Jones (England) and Gary Speed vs Michael Owen!

Great stuff lads!!! Him and Harry Wilson could be our future strike partnership. Tantalising prospect when you consider Allen, J Williams, Ramsey & Bale will be in there prime then

Played another 90 mins as Yeovil got a rare win, hopefully he will stay the season with them and go onloan again next season to a promotion chasing championship team.

You expect Declan John who is two years younger than Lawrence to play in the premier league now, yet you are happy for Lawrence to be loaned out next season?

I will be happy for Declan John to be loaned out as well, especially if Taylor is picked ahead of him as he showed how good he was on Saturday. However, probably won't be needed as it is looking likely I'm afraid that John will be playing championship football next season anyway
It will be nearly impossible for Lawrence to get in the Man Utd team next season as he has top class players above him, not crap like Taylor.
Hardly double standards just realism

Hardly double standards just realism Lawrence will also be 21 and if he is still being loaned out he needs to look whether he will ever get a chance at that club. Darren Gibson had played pretty much no part at Man Utd when he left at 24 - we do not want to see the same happening with Lawrence. Taylor is crap, coming from somebody who has never seen him play. Taylor didn't have the best game no but he was certainly wasn't the worst on Saturday. You're talking to someone who saw 90mins don't forget, not just Match of the Day highlights. Talking of realism, did you see the mistake John made versus Swansea? Their second goal? This realism as you put it needs to have unblinkered views and yours are heavily biased. John has come on so much this season and his confidence is sky high, but he is going to make mistakes as any 18 year old will. He will be ahead of Taylor by next season I have no doubt, mainly because I don't think Taylor will be there - but I'd say the same even if he was still there.

I have seen enough of Taylor and spoken to enough people to know how crap he is, in fairness I would say he is an average championship player. John will make mistakes but all defenders do not just young ones.
It is possible that Lawrence won't get a look in at Man Utd but playing regular football in the championship will be good for his development. He is alos trying to get ahead of players like Rooney and Van Persie not Taylor and McNaughton
Could you confirm where the welsh players have gone on loan from Cardiff this season, surely O'Sullivan and Yorweth would benefit from some competitive football, especially with the norwegian influx pushing them down the pecking order.

Lawrence seems to be doing very well at Yeovil and his (+ a couple of others arriving) seems to have had a positive impact
All he needs now is a goal or two

Back at Man Utd after a decent loan spell at Yeovil, maybe he could sneak a game before the end of the season, although I doubt Giggs will experiment when he has only 4 games in total.
Next season I can see him out on loan again, hopefully at a top level championship side or a lower end remiership club

He was very impressive for the U 21's last night by all accounts Here are some comments from the website "He's sort of slipped my mind this season, but he certainly reminded us what he can do tonight. His dribbling seems to have taken another step up during his loan spell, it was something else tonight. There were times he was meandering his way through practically the entire Liverpool defence and they just couldn't get near the ball. If he can play consistently as well as he did tonight, he'd be value for a Premier League loan spell. Definitely good enough." "Hes always had the skill and technique but this season hes added the physical side to his game because hes stayed fit for a full season for the first time. Looks to have added a lot of power and pace to his game and really covers the ground now and Liverpool couldnt get near him at times tonight. Hes a great example of just how important a good loan can be for players " "A constant thorn in the Liverpool side last night, his presence was a huge part of our control in the final third. Looks a great prospect. " " Some of those dribbles definitely need to be rewatched. Droolworthy. Anyone who hasn't seen the video of his game for Wales against England should check it out (earlier in this thread). Really shines against a side with a lot of PL first-teamers in it - Redmond, Ward-Prowse, Stones, Jenkinson etc." And here is the video www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqBg3ewtUxY

looks a really good player. But not really the centre forward that we really need...more of a Ramsey/Joniesta creative attacking midfielder type.
Really hope him and Harry Wilson make it - be great to have more lads from the Wrexham area (where a lot of Wales support comes from) playing for Wales again.

The Swans should go for Joniesta. Cardiff should go for Lawrence. And, Everton should go for Huws!

Swansea is a perfect team for Joniesta who is a perfect player for Swansea.
I wonder if Garry Monk is aware of Jonny Williams' talent?

Will be interesting to see how Lawrence goes in the next couple of years. To be honest he did not exactly set the world alight at Yeovil - I know they are a very poor team, but then again I did not see his name mentioned as a shining light.
