I will have Lawrence on our teamsheet to start v Denmark ahead of Brooks, let alone Wilson and Woodburn.
Heck, the way Bale is playing, even ahead of him :-))

As usual Tom just seems to try that run a bit to far, simple pass instead of trying to take on to many players, he is frustrating at times..... But as usual he comes into more critizm than most than ant other players.

I’ve been quite critical of him based on tonight, but that’s mostly because he was playing a similar role to Brooks and Bale who outshone him massively. He’s competing with Bale, Brooks, Ramsey, Wilson and Woodburn for 3 spots behind the striker. I think he’ll struggle to get in the starting line up in the future, luckily for him he’ll be guaranteed a start in Albania to put it right.

I'm critical of him for Wales and derby, but he seems to come under more than he deserves especially at Derby. Like I have said many times he tries to do these runs instead of passing. At derby with Lawrence Wilson, mount playing with Huddleston it's working Well We should have Brooks Wilson Lawrence working with Allen for Wales.

Lawrence a flat track bully in the Championship and when it comes off it’s explosive but found wanting at an higher level. Wilson could go on to player for Liverpool. Lawrence couldn’t.

Plus the goal of course, Different class. Mount Wilson Tom work well and we can only dream of keeping them.

I want Lawrence to do well but he seems like a weak link at the minute. We’ve got 6 positions up for grabs in front of our defence, Allen, Ramsey, Bale and now Brooks have to be 4 of them. He’s competing with Ampadu, Smith, Wilson, Woodburn, Vokes and Roberts for 2 positions even without thinking of Thomas, James etc. I don’t think it’s looking good for him. We dropped the match winner against Ireland to keep Lawrence in the team and he didn’t take the chance.

Like to see him up front as experiment and Albania could be ideal. But choice Wilson and Lawrence... Wilson .. that's even with my derby eyes too, I want Lawrence to learn and improve especially at pride park as it will save me all trouble I get defending him 🤛👊🤜😉

Thought he did well against Netherlands a few years back. Can see him doing a good job up there just depends if he’d have to be playing there week in and week out to be our main man.

Lawrence is 24, will be 25 in January, not a youngster anymore and was abysmal last night. He either over ran the ball or stopped our attacks in their tracks by turning back inside or giving it back to Gunter

Lawrence was poor but he wasn`t the only one Ramsey had another ineffective game and I was getting very frustrated with the amount of times Bale was dropping deep he has to learn to trust in his team members and stay further up-field. My thoughts on Ramsey as I was leaving the ground was that he needs to be dropped but the young lad chatting to me made a very good point saying that he felt his best and most effective position is to play behind the striker . At the moment Smith looks to be the best partner for Joe A.

The set up was wrong which didn’t help, but I didn’t think he was at his best last night. With the ball he tried to do a bit too much and there were times he should have passed the ball, off the ball he found a few decent spaces, but the ball never came to him. The 2 injuries to the Chester and Dummett cost Giggs the opportunity to make changes which could have turned the game.

I'm afraid I can't agree. We were getting exposed down the middle and on our defensive right in the first half before Dummett's departure. Yes, Gunter was upfield for the opening goal - but there was nothing wrong with that per se - the defensive mids should have covered his advance. Gunter had a decent game to be fair - preventing a probable Delaney goal and putting an excellent cross that I suspect Vokes would have buried - but Roberts headed tamely wide.

I think that at that point, we were able to deal with the threats. Whether that would have remained the case, I'm not sure. I also think that our spell in possession and the opportunities we had to score during the first 30 minutes put them under some pressure and forced them on the counter-attack.

I honestly do not understand the clamour to drop Lawrence (or Ramsey, for that matter). Tom has been one of our most consistent players over the last 18 months. With all due respect to his performances at Derby, it's when he wears the red of Wales, that I care about. His game v Denmark was no worse than that of Ramsey or Ampadu.
