Got two assists and seems to have had a decent match. Played a full game, that might sound good, but it does worry me ;-(

The only mention of him in the BBC report is a bad miss when they were 3-2 up which proved costly. But glad to hear he played well. I'm expecting a fair bit of chopping and changing in the double header so he could be important

Only saw the highlights of the first half, but Tom seems to be having a great game. Back to his regular self? If so, he will be very unlucky if not in our first eleven?
Regardless, he is certainly ahead of Harry for me.

Hasn't scored since february and his form's been so-so from what I understand. You could make a case for him ahead of wilson who's also been disappointing these past couple of months, but neither would make the first eleven for me. Bale, brooks and james up front, with allen, rambo and smith in midfield. easy

Had good game in my opinion. Was left out on wing waiting for the ball alot but we decided to battle thro middle. Second half he was less in game.

As much as i hope Derby County get promoted today for welshramdcfc's sake - a part of me wants Aston Villa to get back in the Premier League also - as i think being selfish it would be in Wales' best interests if that happens - Neil Taylor & James Chester aren't going to play Premier League football unless they get promoted with Villa whilst Harry Wilson will probably be playing for Brighton/Newcastle/Southampton next season anyway. Which would leave Tom Lawrence still playing in the Championship - unless DCFC win of course!

Seems everyones forgotten about Tom after today. If there's one player Im most gutter for, its him. I personally think he's good enough and deserves a shot in the Prem but I cant see anyone going for him, so a Derby promotion was his best chance of Prem football. A real shame.

Brighton could do with him? Cytuno, unlikely a prem team will make a move for him...

Reminds me of the old Terry Yorath joke about Nathan Blake. ‘Is Nathan playing today?’. ‘yeah Terry he’s playing’. ‘Yeah I know, but is he playing’.

Perfect start to the season. Fantastic first half, tearing the Hull defense to shreds, time and again. Was at the centre of everything and took the match to Hull. In the second half, did loads of trekking back and showed a lot of character. Not even a yellow card ;-)
THE FIRST
EVEN BETTER SECOND ...

Have to disagree...the first is better goal! Great technique. He was bright against Hungary, should have had an assist if it weren't for Bale. If he can hit double figures I'm sure a Premier League club would have a look at him.

M.O.M and well deserved for Tom last night, at last he is allowed to play more central and freely which suits him. Now to keep this up for the season as on his own admission he has not done as well as he wanted.

Seems more like a goal scoring direct 10 to me. Bit like Dele Alli when he had that season where he scored 20 odd goals. Almost a second striker. Maybe for Wales his best position is up front. Problem is that's probably where we'll be playing Bale. It's hard work fitting all of our attacking talent into one XI.

Arguably lucky to stay on the pitch last night for the foul on Morrison, apparently that's his 5th yellow of the season already, in only 7 games! He either needs to calm down or stay on his feet more

When I pick my best Wales XI - he's never in it.
I used to rate him as a player to have against the lesser nations, but even against Azerbaijan he was poor.
Isn't particularly effective off the bench either.

Lawrence has that ability but seems to look disinterested at times. his disciplinary record this season has been shocking, in a team that is struggling i am hoping the lay off will do him good.

I like Tom, but he can be inconsistent - like the majority of our players tbh.
He reminds me a lot of Jason Koumas, can be absolutely brilliant one game - match winner, but a bit anonymous the next. I still think he's a better option than Wilson.

Wilson for me. i defend Tom and it gets quite heated when a discussion of Tom Lawrence start in and around PP, but as mentioned he can have 1 in 5 good games

Koumas the man who played for Tranmere Cardiff and WBA.
Decent player but not in the george best league like some people like to make out.
Cant remember him tearing up international football either. Most of the time he couldn't be arsed.

Most of the time he couldn't be arsed. I think that was the issue. All the talent in the world but not the mentality. Could have easily been a midtable prem player or better if he was more determined and worked harder.
