Hopefully he'll play vs QPR on the weekend
Maybe we'll see Tyler Roberts feature for West Brom too.

This doesn't make sense. How can he go from not even getting on the bench at tines last season to getting the C armband in a ore season game? Or is it just to put a bit if pressure on him?

That seems mad, especially considering the experience elsewhere in the starting XI

Yeah it must be to get him to be more vocal/lead on the pitch, puts him under different pressure...seems like a really strange move though. Hopefully it'll mean he plays regularly for them this season!

DONE DEAL: Leicester City attacker Tom Lawrence has joined Blackburn Rovers on loan until January.
All the best to him, good move!

Wasted 60 mins of my life watching a rubbish Blackburn vs Bolton match hoping to see Lawrence.
What on earth is going on with him. He can't even start for Blackburn, who are full of mediocre players without an ounce of creativity! Maybe he just does not have it.

I'm watching it waiting for him to come on also. Surely he will be on soon being as they need a goal.

Perhaps yet another example of him being bigged up by his parent club yet once he moves no subsequent manager rates him.based on what they see in training? We need to stop getting hopes up about these guys and let them get on with it.
Of course, it could be a case that as he moves down the leagues the managers put their faith in tried and tested lower league cloggers. Look at Russell Slade, could be the Blackburn manager is cut from the same cloth and doesn't trust young 'uns. That being said, why sign him if you don't have the inclination to play a youngster?

Maybe Bowyer just wanted to give other new signings/loanees an opportunity for this one? (Koita, Guthrie, Barrow all coming on)
He played Lawrence for over 80 minutes against Brighton, let's wait for a few more games before saying if this is a good move or not

Man of the match for Blackburn against Leeds tonight (29/10/15). Set up the second goal with a great run.
Was subbed on 83 minutes.
Quality of the game overall was poor.

Watched the game and his movement and positioning was causing Leeds big problems. He was playing in between attack and midfield in that hard to mark area of the pitch. Potential problem is his slightness, saw him get nudged over with little force at one point so maybe needs to bulk up a bit. I would say a full season in the Champ and he will be ready to be a squad player for Leicester the following year.

Isn't Phil Neville the coach there? Perhaps he saw a bit of Tom when they were both at UTD

This sounds interesting: "However, they are not alone with Bournemouth and Swansea also monitoring Lawrence's form." From memory I'm assuming he's the type of player that would dovetail nicely into Monk's plans, although I admittedly haven't seen the Swans play this season at all so I stand to be corrected of course. I think he'll get his chance at Leicester in the 2nd half of this season and certainly next year as I'm sure Vardy will move on. In terms of sharpening himself for the Euro's however Valencia would be a great experience for him.

Mate of mine saw him play a few times last season and says he reminds him of a young Denis Bergkamp.

I would rather he went to Valencia than Leicester. So would his missus....if he's got one.

I think this is the real benefit of blooding the right youngsters in a Wales shirt - Lawrence plays against Andorra in a marquee game (seems funny saying that but it was for us), he gets a massive boost plus exposure and kicks on for Blackburn. Then gets linked with Valencia.

I've always wanted to see more of our players move outside of the UK to play, Valencia would be an exciting move for Lawrence!
It didn't quite work out for David Vaughan, due to injuries, coleman leaving etc but I've always loved this video of his time at Sociedad. Good to see him playing well lately.

Also, Joniesta and Allen are perfect players for La Liga. A lot of teams will be after our players following the Euros!

His time at Inter is considered largely a flop. It says more about Italy's pragmatic football of that time than it does about Bergkamp

I did post on the original Tom Lawrence thread that Man Utd had a buy back option on him, maybe when Giggs is manager?
Told #mufc have first option to buy back Tom Lawrence...believe there was some opposition inside club to his sale.
