For me, I fly out on Wednesday.
Gives me a few hours to get my bearings.
Thursday I get to do the touristy stuff while its still a bit quiet. Slowly soaking up the buildup & atmosphere as more & more people arrive.
Friday I guess I will end up getting beered up. Probably end up in the fanzone for the opening game.
Saturday is going to be odd. Bit worried about French Police may be strict on anyone who cant walk in a straight line. So going to be quite
Early game kicks off at 2 (albaniav v swiss) & we kick off at 5. With England Kicking off at 7 So need to plan that day. As its could be a bit of a nightmare getting from the fanzone after the Albania game with an hour before KO.
Guess at the final whistle mad rush back to the fanzone to support Russia. Then some decent bars & pubs.
Sunday is a cooldown day, before flying back home on Monday.

Haven't got too long in Bordeaux. Land on Friday the 10th at about 4:30pm, planning to go straight to that famous steak restaurant that was on Rick Stein for a meal and then out to the fan zone (or wherever) to watch the France opening game.
Saturday will likely just be a little wander around the city to have a look in the morning and then hit the bars in the afternoon. Head over to the stadium from 4ish then watch the England game afterwards.
Sunday then I'm flying to Brussels early afternoon.

Get to our digs about 8pm Friday, out for a few pints. Straight into the centre of town for food and drink, off to the game, back to a boozer for the Russia game, then maybe try and find a decent club. Sunday afternoon train up to the coast for a few days on the beach before heading to Paris on the Wednesday.

Get in to Bordeaux sometime on Thursday afternoon. Take it we'll be out for some token sightseeing on Thursday afternoon/Friday morning but there'll be a few thousand Welsh fans out on Thursday night and of course a few thousand more on the Friday night. Still undecided what to do on Saturday...

Insanely popular apparently with queues out the door at most times so hoping to get the better of this if I go for an early meal! Check it out on tripadvisor.

Leave Neath at 05:10 and hopefully arrive in Bordeaux at 15:30 pm on the Saturday 2 1/2 hours before kickoff! Spend the week in Bordeaux with a couple of journeys to Toulouse, one to watch Spain and the other to see The Who. Watch England game in Bordeaux fan zone or a nice bar. Very envious of the fans arriving on the Thursday and Friday before the Slovakia game and witnessing the build up.

Group of 7 of us travelling from Avignon. Rented a place through to the Qtrs (hoping for R of 16 in Nice!). 7:30am train Saturday morning, a few beers en route, arrive about 1pm. Dump bags, bit of Alb v Swi, then off to the stadium for pre-match. Watch the Russia game post-match in Sweeney Todd's, staying the night in Bordeaux, then try to make a 10:20 train Sunday am back to Avignon. Can't wait (except for the last bit).

arrive in bordeaux around 3pm on Friday, drop stuff off at hostel then out for beer and fun, visit fanzone for french match and then more bars and a club, late night.
Saturday, easy on the beer as i want to remember the moment wales walk out onto the pitch for a major tournament, then after a win, celebrate big time and call it a night when i can't stand up anymore
head for the coast on Sunday until Wednesday and then onto toulouse for a further 5 nights
i can't wait

Anyone staying in the Arès area? We're going in a campervan but don't have any sites booked yet. We thought we'd just drive out and find something amongst the 100s of sites that must be in the Aquitaine region but now that it's getting closer, we're wondering whether it's safer to book in advance. The three sites of which I've enquired so far (all within 20 miles of Bordeaux) are fully booked but there is availability in Arès, a small coastal town 30 miles to the west of Bordeaux. What do those with experience of camping in France suggest?
