The scary thing about Ampadu is that he would be a solid CB but when moved in to midfield he strolls around like a Rolls Royce breaking up play bossing senior players around and then you add in his ridiculous deep lying playmaker skills....
HE'S 17.
Just wow!!!

He was brilliant fair play to the lad. Needs to work on his crossing mind! Give him a break.... I only seem to remember one over shot byline cross. However, some of his diagonal crosses to Brooks and Woodburn were sublime :+)

Had an excellent game last night, but Panama did also make Crofts look good. I think France showed he's not at the top level yet, but he will become an excellent player, I'm sure.

He was brilliant fair play to the lad. Needs to work on his crossing mind! He didn't hit the closest fullback, that puts him in the top 5 crossers in the squad already.

Credit has to be given to Chelsea for how he's developed, and how quickly he's kicked on. They may not develop him into the CB we desperately need, but a class act in midfield.
Makes you think why Liverpool are pissing around with Woodburn.

But another clever thing he did v Panama is take it upon himself to go in a central defensive position when they were attacking, so technically he played midfield, cb and on wing lol.

A galactico in the waiting. I just prey he's still playing for Wales this time next year. Brooks and Woodburn are great but they're lightweight. We were pushed all over the place in both games against Ireland. This man has the strength to have resisted that. I saw Woodburn giving back some elbow too to be fair to him!

After watching him v Panama, he plays in the very ironic haircut position of front, back and sides lol, in other words where ever he wants by looks, one point I think he started a move from almost cb and with in 2 passes he was crossing the ball at dead ball line. Was waiting for the crowd to start singing je plays where he wants.

Think we need to be really careful not to overhype Ethan and others. We've seen other UK nations falling into the trap of too much expectancy on kids. Don't get me wrong, Ampadu's breakthrough at Chelsea is remarkable. We'd have to admit probably a bigger endorsement of his ability and potential than a Welsh cap. But I'm seeing a lot of talk of him becoming a world class player. Likewise Ian Rush's remarks about Woodburn. Let's call them world class players if and when they actually are world class players.
We also need to stop going on about defections. The Welsh BBC lot have been hammering this too and it's really annoying. Every action this kid has taken indicates that his heart is with us. The defection talk is close to being disrespectful to that commitment. Ampadu will only play for Wales I am sure of that.

Agree. Actually Coleman made much more of the defection issue than he needed to. It seems he mentioned it before every game from the game away to Ireland. To be honest he started to irritate me referring to it. Once is fine but to do it 5 or 6 times is almost in danger of encouraging the players themselves to question the decision they have made!

In my opinion, there's now no way Ampadu and Brooks will leave. Not a factor.

Just because someone is young when they begin being played regularly doesn't mean they will rise and rise in talent.
As if someone quality young will be better than someone debuting past 20 when they reach their peak.
It doesn't work like that!!.

Very true, but I believe this kid is going to be a top player injuries permitting
I also have high hopes for Woodburn, Wilson and Brooks but doubt all 3 will develop into top players

We don't have as many granted
