The Wizz Air flight now from Luton to Belgrade is £89 (or £81 with discount club) - if you wait 3 or 4 weeks, there might be another 20% discount day ...
The Wizz Air Saturday from Luton to TULZA (Croatia) is still only £12 Dept 7.15pm arrive 11pm. Please ensure that the buses run on Sunday ... normally its 4 hour ride...
THE BEST I CAN FIND ON MONDAY is 110 euro and 12-hour 3 leg flight ... Belgrade to Nuremberg Dept 10am arrive 11.45am on Wizz for €20 Nuremberg to Barcelona on Vueling Dept 3pm arrive 5.15pm - €45 Barcelona to CARDIFF Dept 8pm arrive 9.10pm - €45
I can't save you much money on the out-bound, but if you fancy an overnight in amsterdam, there is a TransAvia flight: Dept Amsterdam 11.40am and arrive to Belgrade 2pm on the Sunday (match-day) - 45 EURO.
there is really nothing cheap coming back on the Monday, unless you fly out of Sofia - as on previous page... plenty of cheap options coming back tuesday ...

Is the second leg from the same airport in Milan? 1HR transfer time doable?

Is the second leg from the same airport in Milan? 1HR transfer time doable? Its the same Bergamo airport - I never used it before, but can imagine its the same size as Cardiff airport. As it uses the same airline (Ryan Air), I assume that they will be able to book you straight through onto your connecting flight, as long as you only have hand luggage? If it were two differenct airlines, I imagine the risk too great of having the check in counters far to distant from each other. Probably not ideal - but very convenient, if it does work ;-) I have done 40 minute connections before in Kiev airport, and it was a breeze ...

Come to think of it, it was probably smaller than Cardiff bus station! Providing that you hear the "toot-tal-toot Another Ryan Air flight on time" on landing, you will make the connection (but remember that Ryanair check-in closes something like 40 minutes before departure).

So does that mean if you fly from Belgrade to Germany or Spain on a single ticket, you need to clear German or Spanish immigration when you arrive (entering a Schengen area). Then immediately turn around and go back through immigration to leave the Schengen area? If you get what I mean.

As far as I know. Yes. You do need to clear immigration twice. Also, if you have bought duty free in Belgrade - this may not be accepted for transfer within EU, and if they want to be really picky with you, they will ask you to drink your duty free booze while at the airport ...

If anyone fancies a beach holiday Tuesday to Tuesday
Bristol to Zadar in Croatia is only £55 return, with ryan air.
As far as I understand, there are no direct buses (or decent roads) going east from Zadar to Belgrade.
Zadar to Zagreb is a brand new motorway - so take the fast direct 3-hour bus (£15) instead of the slower train.
Zagreb to Belgrade is 6 hours by train

They organised a car to and from airport as arrived in from Luton at midnight.............. think it was €25 EW and was well worth it. Trams go by the door so that is easy and walked back from Three Carrots at 2am and was good.

For those of you that can resist the English and Irish poison water and would like a real opportunity to sample local beer, this place is about 400m south of Republic Square and sells nothing but beer! Its has 23 beers on tap as well as a selection of over 200 other bottled beers. Unfortunately no food at all. Its called "SAMO PIVO" ('Only Beer') and has a massive beer garden at the back. www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g294472-d5114154-r419074152-Samo_Pivo-Belgrade.html

Belgrade great city.............. Beer costs ..............cheap Food great Ladies............... beautiful People very friendly We not in NATO which got commented on at least 3 times Had Green jersey all time was there and no hassle, did get stopped by guy who more interested in which Club supported, he reckoned West Ham had most supporters Number of pub used but Three Carrots was best, cops outside most of the time, solely interested in making sure fans safe as they were chilled, or on Tuesday morn one asleep in car while one looking on. Lions game on 10th June so if asked they will likely show. Cops were interested in how many fans around in city as they checked the hotels and apartment places. Hotel was in warned me about travelling to ground as they concerned for my safety, was dark and raining so on #9 tram to stadium (with Maps of Basel in them) another guy told me the stop and insisted I do up jacket just in case. Never felt threatened. Inside area we in holds about 6000, reality in whole stadium less than 10000 people there out of 55,000 capacity.................... was dark miserable and wet Lots of Robo cops on duty, they kitted out like them but they bored as we gave them little to do. Kept in for 40 mins after, seems to be standard time as taxi driver said that on way back into city. Best hotels other fans spoke of seem to be Tash . Argo . Holiday Inn.........some Airbnbs. Got hotel to sort me a pick up from airport for 20 odd Euro which was great as no hassle, there is bus and Taxis and best advice on Taxis in airport was go to desk with TAXI in baggage claim and get voucher and then get first taxi rather than the undocumented ones (there are lots of dodgy ones). Duty Free is buyable on exiting and baggage check is different. Wales game is June and while Sun was very hot, Mon we had rain and pitch cut up badly within minutes of start, doubt that will be like that in June so if hot it could be a bit of a killer........................ bring the sunblock. Enjoy This was my report on here after the game. Per the suggestion of 90 minutes being kept behind for, it wasn't and think 40 was maximum but that is after game has finished so take out of that the appluase to the team etc and stuff and it wasn't long. Good point was that once out there were taxis around as home support in majority of cases was gobe
