In Hamad International Airport (Doha) now ready for my flight in 90 minutes. No surprise that I appear to be the only Welsh fan here! I should be in Belgrade city centre by lunchtime and looking forward to a cheap afternoon session. Promises to be a great trip ahead. Safe travels everyone. Prediction - we will lose 3-1. How wrong was I about being the only Welsh fan flying from Doha. There's another guy on the flight who's come from Australia for it - quite incredible commitment to the Wales Away cause! |

So no issues changing sterling manulike? ... yesterday, about 1 in 4 were not interested. Today, after our election, my hotel dropped it it from 133 to 128... I'd say that you might be better off spen leftover euros (or any other currency) right now... |

What is the cost of a pint on average? A meal etc?

The better Menjacnice (exchage places) will be happy to sell you Euros for 122.70 - making only half a percent difference from the buying rate. But rates around Republic Sq and the Bohemian quarter are really poor. So if you are staying that part of town, best to use ATM

An update on ££ rate.
Seems to have gone back up to 137, and one place offered me 138 if I change £50... At the moment just changing £10 at a time - which is really plenty for a day.
It was boiling today til about 4pm and is now just overcast.
Been to collect my ticket from Courtyard Marriot. Lucy reporting that every single applicant that contacted them up until yesterday facebook/phone/email, has received a ticket and they even gave a few back to the FSS
It is street party day as well, with the entire length of Milan Street shut off and a few stages with music and dance: the theme is "Latin America"...
Don't tell Joe :-)
