Taxi sharing with other fans from the airport is a good way of keeping the cost down and more money for beer and the tremendous food that we ate last time in Belgrade. There was this pasta place just up from republic square where they cooked pasts dishes to order in front of you,it was unbelievable. You mean Vapiano. A great place to have pasta sauce cooked the way you want in front of you. Walk back to your table with a very fresh pasta dish. For pizza lovers get exactly what you want on top of your pizza. They cook it and bring it to your table. Closed down and moved to Ušće shopping centre, just over Brankov Bridge from the centre.

Tram 9 seems to go there from Slavija Square. You can also take bus 15 from the old town area. This is an excellent public transport interactive site www.planplus.rs/

Honestly be careful if you fly into Tuzla the airport is tiny , miles from anywhere and hardly any transport links. Flew into there for the Bosnia game. There was only a handful of us and we all thought the same.

To any Belgrade experts out there, especially leggybach, my accommodation has offered to collect me from the airport for 15 Euros. My apartment is near Belgrade train station. Is that a good price or not? When there before I remember getting the bus from the airport to that area, but don't remember the price. Is it worth being collected or not? Diolch.

They wont be amused if you have a large suitcase, but a regular rucksack is grand. Takes about 35-40 minutes to the train station and costs 300 dinar (£2)

There's a taxi desk at the airport. You get a quote with them to use with an honest firm. I think I'm looking at 1800 dinar which isn't quite £13 at the moment.
Be careful of touts as they like to rip tourists off.

Did it in September and paid €25 and still believe it was good value as walked out, met immediately and left 2 mins later while people sorting Taxi's out. Nice to be met at airport and taken direct to where staying with zero fuss.

Just a heads up for anyone flying via Amsterdam (or the near area). Severe winds have delayed all yesterday's and are delaying today's flights as well. I can imagine this will have a knock on effect into Thursday.
So far my Cardiff flight has first been moved to Bristol and now I am told I have a stop-over in Newcastle. The joys of flying with KLM...

Anyone else flying with air Serbia tomorrow? Flying from Manchester tomorrow on KLM to Amsterdam and then on to Belgrade with Air Serbia.Have been trying to check in online on Air Serbia website but haven't managed to do so. Wonder if it's because the journey involves flying on 2 different airlines. Anyone else having problems with the Air Serbia online check in?

Sorry for the delay, just seen this. €15 isn't a bad price at all as that's what a taxi would cost you anyway from the airport. However., if you're near the train station, you can get the A1 which drops you off outside for 300din (just over £2) (it goes about 3 times an hour, I think) and only has 1 stop en-route, so takes only a little longer than a taxi.

Flight today is supposedly on time time noon. Arriving Belgrade 2.30pm. Will give report as soon as I get into town and have wifi...

Wtf on my way to Heathrow now fearing the worst.😟 You might be asked to take an alternative route and be heavily compensated for doing so? I had the full cost of a Malaga holiday once for switching London City to Heathrow and flying via Madrid. They put me in a taxi etc. It got me there a few hours later. Good luck, mate. Let us know how you get on.

For those asking about transport from the Airport - BUS 72 does a service from the Airport to Brankov Bridge which is pretty central. I think it takes slightly longer than the mini bus and is a bit less frequent. A useful option still. I've been using this route planner for Belgrade which has been quite useful for my planning; www.eway.rs/en/cities/beograd

Arrived to a wonderful 25c. Was told that it was 31c yesterday and the forecast is for 31c-32c again on Saturday. Belgrade at first reminded me of Israel, especially Haifa, but after spending 3 hours down-town, it reminds me more of Kiev. A shame, as the memories of Haifa were very welcomed. I just hope Ramsey feels the same on ride from airport :-) There are about five ATM machines inside the baggage reclaim area, with a single regular exchange. Past Customs, in general area there are about 6 or 7 money changing branches and only one more ATM. The money people there give 116 to 117 to Euro, whereby in town it's around 122.5. Using the ATM depends on your agreement with your own bank. Mine charge me £3 per transaction plus 2% of total... I just changed £5 note and was happy with 600 dinar to get me into town. Money Exchange places in town are open til 10pm! The A1 to Slavija Square is not a minibus, but a full size coach. 300 dinar well spent. Hotel Slavija (not to be confused with its neighbour Slavija Garani) is a basic Soviet relic. Functional, but without air-con and only a very wee toilet - come - shower. For £12 a night, including breakfast, it will do nicely! Been to the famous bakery off slavija sq Pakara. Really not worth a special trip! If you tried the Arab market burekas in Jaffa or Haifa, or if you had Khachapuri in Kiev or Tbilisi - you will be let down... swimming in oil and not quite cooked... As for the tram/bus. Forget about the 89 dinar fare. There are no longer any paper disposible cards. You either pay the driver 140 din per ride or pay a day-pass for 250 din. The plastic card costs 250din, but I was told you have to have a direct debit account, and then reload 89din periodically? Was not quite sure, as coversation was in Russian...

In Hamad International Airport (Doha) now ready for my flight in 90 minutes. No surprise that I appear to be the only Welsh fan here! I should be in Belgrade city centre by lunchtime and looking forward to a cheap afternoon session.
Promises to be a great trip ahead. Safe travels everyone.
Prediction - we will lose 3-1.
