We were let out immediately after the game We got the metro, was about 3 stops, but only arrived about 30 mins before kick off and it was slow getting in After the game saw a taxi with 2 Irish lads in it so jumped in with them, was in no humour for drinking after the result to be honest. Traffic was crazy but still probably only 10/15 mins and threw 10 GEL at the driver and he was very happy I do know a lot stayed drinking around the stadium after. Can second the bit about taxis.................. best taxi driver was one we got back to Holiday Inn on the Sun night after meeting Greenforever. Driver drove safely, slowly and carefully and wanted 6 Lari...................... handed him 10 and said thank you. His face showed shock and gratitude so knew I had done right.

I really hope this is a success. I've made other arrangements and to be honest it sounds a bit of a gruelling schedule, but it would a fantastic development going forward. A possible hitch could be people not willing to commit early enough due to an uncertainty over the ticket allocation. If the ticket office could issue a statement advising that we can have a very large allocation if we need it, then I'm sure it would help people commit to this.
In any case the WFA need to get moving on the tickets, people are travelling in little more than 3 weeks. Stadium seats 50,000 Tickets get you past the gate. After that you can go pretty much where you like as there is nobody and I mean nobody checking anything. Load of Georgian police behind us and one had spent 7 years in Dublin and called doing the game "Holiday money".

So many flights seem to land in Tbilisi in the middle of the night they must be used to people checking in through out the night. I appreciate its good to have piece of mind though. We're landing 10.30pm on the wed and staying in the Ibis Styles.
Is the Welsh FA ticketing office fit for purpose ? I note their message yesterday that they're still trying to finalise the allocation. Tomorrow its 3 weeks until the game. If the fault lies with Georgians then they should then be kicking off big time. Its shouldn't have prevented them starting the procedure weeks ago, we should at least have what we're entitled to - 2500. As it is we have no idea how many are travelling bar a few finger in the air estimates. You cant help but worry the allocation will limited in our interests to enable them to deal with process in the time available.

I think 2500 should be ample but I hope the FAW have ensured they can get more if need be.

There's 4 of us going and none of us were asked to take part in a survey for this. We're all a minimum of 4 of the last 9 qualifiers.

The email slipped under my radar as well. I can now see it's in my inbox after searching but I never filled it out at the time, I am usually diligent at doing this. Anyways, the point is there will be 4 in my group who wouldn't have featured in the survey.
I'm quite anxious to buy the tickets now. What's taking them so long?!!

Have the FAW access to more tickets if required? I'm sure they must have in a stadium of that size so everyone will be sorted

Surely we'll get more than 2000. That isn't even 5%.

Perhaps the initial survey / questionnaire thing was a maximum of 2000 interested (including possibly AND definitely)? Either way, we will get more if we ask for more, as the Irish were offered 3000 and the stadium was less than half full.
Please do not be put off from finalising your travel plans

Worrying news for anyone using Ryan air as part of their journey to Tbilisi. Cancelling flights with very little notice. They claim is to improve their punctuality but I cant help thinking its more about cutting loss making services. Could devastate your journey to Tbilisi where connections are crucial in pretty much all cases. They truly are a basket case of a company.

They will be cutting flights on busy routes where passengers can be allocated easily to other services on same day. Loss making services are cut all the time as they refresh routes twice a year in summer and winter schedules plus tweak as they go along. Do you want to turn up at airport and be told no flight as no crew or know week or two in advance. As for basket case of company.... they carried 37 Million people in June-Aug.

Given the state of traffic walking was easier. When we eventually got well away from ground we grabbed a cab that cost us 5 Lari (£1.50) again for 4 of us to get to a pub. When else will you mix with Georgian fans.

Two lads arrive 5 mins late for Istanbul Tbilisi leg, and even tough the flight was delayed, they wouldn't let the lads on and charged them €800 each for the next flight. When the lads pointed out they could get an alternate flight for less than half that, they were told the return leg would be cancelled on them. To add insult to injury they had to change airports in Istanbul to get the next flight also.

Found out the flight hadnt flown each day for over a week - didnt know beforehand, who checks if the past flights are going?! 12 hour delay, shocking customer service and on top of that they lost my suitcase & didnt get it back until we were leaving to go home. Got decent compo though paid for my trip & beer - every cloud.

I might be a little biased, but if you enjoyed the mostly bland Moldovan fare, you will never want to leave Georgia... The local wine here has a hint of Shiraz sweetness and the food is really flavourful.. It's almost 8.30pm - so will go and explore some more (it's been 33c for last three days) Can't wait to get there!!

Found Turkish Airlines perfect between Manchester and Belgrade. Work colleagues swear by them too. Norwegian were terrible for Stockholm. British Airways for Spain the same.
My highlight was a straightlaced middle class couple sitting there with their arms folded at the gate in Manchester Airport having realised they were sharing the flight with several hundred Welsh football fans.

What they are currently doing is pretty poor, but my previous experiences of Ryan Air have been positive. It's a no frills budget airline which does exactly what it says on the tin. Wish the flew out if Cardiff.
