Those Kutaisi flights Thu-Sun are down to £72 return. THANKS for that! I just refunded my flight that was delayed by 5 minutes and r eceived 120% credit back, then bought the flight again for a reduced fare of £25. In total saving £50. Might not sound like much, but out there that's gorgeous food and drink for 4 or 5 days! georgeberrysheadband The delay hasn't been announced yet via email, but you will see it if you log on to your Wizz bookings. They ask you to accept, get 100% credit back on your credit cars, or get 120% credit back in Wizz credit. A couple of times it took about an hour before the credit registered in the account - so be patient and only buy the new flight AFTER you see the credit on your account. EDITRemember, that you can buy two tickets on one Wizz Discount Club membership (€30/year). If you are buying one return flight, you already get €20 back in savings. If you need to add a RyanAir EasyJet size bag to your booking, the membership will save a further €10.

Wonder will yous have same experience we are currently having in regards to match tickets for the game in Tbilisi. We 6 weeks away from the game and still not a word about applying for tickets let alone paying for them etc
Now as bad as the fai are I expect the delay down to Georgian fa as similar happened in 2014 and ended up Irish fans had to collect tickets in Tbilisi due to fai not receiving them in time

Those Kutaisi flights Thu-Sun are down to £72 return. Just booked this for myself and my wife! We're thinking of travelling up to Tbilisi by taxi, it'll probably cost around £100. It would be great if there are another couple of people going on the same flights interested in sharing a taxi. £25 each is much better than waiting for a train in the early hours of the morning when we could go up there asap to find a nice bar!

Shit. Just missed the last cheap flight back on the Sunday. Now up to £124.00!!!!!! My recommendation is wait for another 2 or 3 weeks. There will definitely be another 20% off day at some stage and they will also come down in price again the minute they see people are not buying them... If you already bought that tickets in the last few weeks (prior to schedule 5 minute change) there is no reason to accept their changes, even if they do send you an email or two! Just wait until 2 weeks before the match, and only then log on and accept or refund in full (or refund in Wizz credit for 120% of course)...

I've booked Hotel Margo Palace at Mikheil Djavakhishvili Street 12 for Georgia away. However, I'm looking at Google maps and it seems slightly too far away from the good areas to go out in.
For Belgrade I was a stones throw from the bars alongside that cobblestone hill where everyone seemed to be. Any better recommendations? Price flexible.

For anyone using the Wizz Air flight from Luton to Kutaisi, there is a bus that departs after landing straight to Tbilisi. It won't matter about a delay, as the bus waits for the flight. It's www.georgianbus.comI have tried booking my ticket, but with three different cards each time it said I had insufficient funds on each card, which is not the case. I contacted them via email and they said it is possible to pay at the desk in the airport and that there is unlimited space on the bus. Quite how big this bus is I don't know!! The cost is 20 Lei, which is around £6.40. The bus arrives in Tbilisi at approx 7.30am. If you have the Sunday return flight to Luton, you get a discount on the two bus journeys. If anyone manages to book this online, please let me know, as I'm intrigued by my supposed lack of funds.....especially as I've since used one of the cards to purchase something more expensive!!

The flight to David The Builder international Airport is on a Airbus A320 which seems to have 180 seats. Georgian bus typically operates a 54-seater bus. For last year's Irish match, @bogball88 emailed them and received this reply: "We have transfers accordingly to all flights in Kutaisi airport. Buses depart (including to Tbilisi) in an hour after landing. You can buy tickets at GeorgianBus ticket desk in Kutaisi airport. Seats are unlimited"
The Georgian Bus service to TBS costs 20 lari - about £6.50 (they also accept €10 or U$10 in cash) There used to be a Wizz Air special transfer service last year as well for €12 return - but I can't seem to find that on their site. If you can't get on the Georgian bus for any reason, than plenty of marshrutka (small mini-bus) will take you to TBS from Kutaisi city centre for 10 lari. From Kutaisi there are many marshrutkas for TBS and there is also the EARLY MORNING TRAIN: Train Number 677 Dept Kutaisi 1 (main station at 0500 and arrives TBS at 1040 costing 8 lari. Train 873 from RIONI (between Kutaisi and airport) Dept 1000 or FROM SAMTREDIA (closer to airport, on road to Batumi) AT 0935 arrive TBS 1320 costing 13 lari. Train 17 Dept Kutaisi 1 (main) at 1215 and arrives TBS at 1715 for 8 lari. www.railway.ge/samg/searchTrains.aspx?lang=en-US

Just booked the Kutaisi flight with Wizz AIr for £108.00 including the Wizz Air transfer to Tbilisi. Can you please post a link for the Wizz bus transfer. Especially if you have confirmation showing departure time from the airport and arrival in Tbilisi? I couldn't find info about it (other than price used to be €7 or €12 return) and I know a couple on here are worried about the Georgian Bus, as its not bookable online

Was advised Times are ; Kutaisi to tiblisi 3:30am arrive 7:30 Tiblisi to kutaisi 9:00 am arrive 13:00 They do state that this might change though, hope this helps

Interesting cost of living chart on this web site. I think its a sad world when the price of 1 litre of milk is almost the same as a packet of Marlboro ;-( ... and especially for you London boys, a one-month pass on the Metro is TEN POUNDS... Its about 3 lari to the pound ... www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/country_result.jsp?country=Georgia

From what i read on YBIG, the talk is of taking 700-800 over? Yeah I'd expect around that to travel over similar to what we had in Moldova. Start of September a rough month with kids back to school etc luckily I don't got that to worry about and looking forward to the trip to Tbilisi

IF ANYONE HAS 3 or 4 DAYS TO SPARE OUT IN GEORGIA:There is a super cheap airline called Vanilla Sky, which uses tiny 20-seater aircraft up to MESTIA, on the Russian border. Their ticket on-line sales portal is as bad as the UEFA portal, but if you persist: kutaisi to Mestia is 40 lari (£12) and Mestia to Tbilisi (Natakhtari airport) is a mere 65 lari (£20). Read about the flight here - travelsurfrepeat.com/how-to-fly-from-natakhtari-tbilisi-to-mestia/There is a gorgeous hike up to Ushguli - the highest village in Europe ... www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-3222305/Life-clouds-7-190ft-highest-village-Europe-just-200-residents-braving-six-months-snow-year.html TBILISI TO YEREVAN IN ARMENIAThere is an overnight sleeper train in both directions, from Tbilisi to Yerevan: Train number 371 Dept TBS on ODD dates (1,3,5 etc) at 20.20 arrive at 0700 Train number 372 Dept YER on EVEN dates (2,4,6 etc) at 21.30 arrive at 0800 75 lari in SV (2 single beds) = £24 56 lari in Coupe (2 bunk beds) = £18 35 lari plascartny (3-tier open dormitory) = £10 Plan to do it myself in late September, so will keep you up to date ;-)

It would be interesting to see how much it has changed since Wales were out there. Edit: Flights to Yerevan, ouch!!!!! They are not direct and pricey.

Even Aegean or Ukrainian are super dear. Still, the sunrise above Mount Ararat at 6am as you wake up on the train is memorable. Its been 25 years since I was last there, but I am sure the mountain hasn't changed much ;-) BTW, up until end of September, you can get a direct DAILY train from Batumi to Yerevan. Its 10,000 AMD in plascartni (£16) Its 15,000 AMD in coupe (£24) Its 25,800 AMD in SV (£42) ticket.ukzhd.am/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fdefault.aspx To be honest, I can imagine Batumi looking a bit like Disneyland and nothing like what it was 25 years ago ... hence I am opting for Mestia / Ushguli, this trip...

Fly from anywhere in the UK via Amsterdam and use the AMS-Tbilisi direct flight (Monday to Saturday) all for around £380 If you fancy 12 hours in Kiev on the way out, its only £300 return Wednesday to Saturday (with the direct TBS-AMS coming back!) VERY EARLY flights take offs in both directions ... so much prefer the DIRECT Wizz Air Kutaisi to Luton (about £170 return Thursday-Sunday) Pegasus from Stansted via Istanbul is around £230 on www.klm.com

As expected it's looking extremely likely we will have 100% collection of tickets in Tbilisi. Most likely down to Georgian FA been slow delivering them but it will also prevent anyone harvesting tickets for a better chance of getting a ticket for Cardiff
This the 2nd time it's happened with us in Tbilisi so chance yous will have to do the same in October
